I imagine he could save it by putting it on an old mannequin or something. Either way, it's a damn impressive project, and I don't see him throwing it away just because it no longer fits.

I loved the "Sound Shield, AKA Mother Brain" thing. This kid is pretty awesome for a) actually doing a lot of the work on the project and b) dressing as Samus even though I'm sure he knows she's female.
