Conroy to voice Batman [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.408417-It-Looks-Like-Kevin-Conroy-Will-Be-Batman-Afterall].The developers say they used new voice actors because they wanted the voices of Batman (here played by Roger Craig Smith) and the Joker to sound younger than their previous Arkham selves.
Yeah but in Arkham City you couldn't even throw them off ledges... now you're blowing them up.Ultratwinkie said:Well the thugs would be dead from stuff Batman normally does.
It takes comic book rule of "blunt force trauma doesn't kill, only guns can"
Which is why Batman doesn't die when Superman uses his super strength to punch his face in some of the "superman goes rogue" arcs. It is also the same reason why Batman doesn't get any teeth knocked out no matter how hard he is hit.
Actually, in case you didn't know, Batman is only putting his enemies to sleep.FFP2 said:Wait, won't blowing up enemies with explosive barrels go against Batman's "no kill" rule?
That was amazing. Thanks for exposing me to that work of artGoofguy said:Actually, in case you didn't know, Batman is only putting his enemies to sleep.

Yep. When you "rewind" the action in the Evidence Scanner. In the example I saw, rewinding made the helicopter crash go in reverse, so you could examine it from various angles, see at what point it went off course, and so forth. You can rewind a gunshot to trace the bullet's path back to its source, that sort of thing. And the noise that goes with it...gahhhhh. Just awful.Moeez said:"As of this moment, the noise that accompanies the Rewind function is so terrible that it nearly renders those portions of the game unplayable, but it will likely change before the final version is released."Susan Arendt said:Batman Arkham Origins Hands-on Preview

Rewind function?
All I can say is that the Batman we saw was voiced by a single actor the entire time, and that was Smith.Sanaje said:Wait, I'm confused now.

Does that mean Conroy meant another game, is Smith just a stand-in, or will it be a flashback game with older Bats narrating in the background?
Well, that's new. Man, all this CSI/Minority Report overcomplicated business. I want an investigation purely based on variations of a swear word:Susan Arendt said:Yep. Rewind function?
Eh, we're already kicking criminals' heads into buildings. I've always lived with the adorable notion that Alfred and the BatComputer outright lie to batman to make him feel better.FFP2 said:Wait, won't blowing up enemies with explosive barrels go against Batman's "no kill" rule?
Hamill has retired the Joker role, originally Asylum was going to be his last but he enjoyed the City storyline so reprised his role, Conroy is voicing Batman still and a few days ago talked about working on an upcoming Arkham game, whether its Origins or the next Rocksteady Arkham game (which I theorise they are making for next gen) is still unclear.Verkula said:Both Hamill and Conroy played the younger and older versions of their characters many times already and they did a perfect job every time, so I call BS, they just don't want to pay them for their roles. Or maybe they just want fresh meat, but then just fkin say that.
No, he said it many times since then that he did NOT retired the role and it was just a misunderstanding, yet this rumor still keeps spreading like a plague.xchurchx said:Hamill has retired the Joker role, originally Asylum was going to be his last but he enjoyed the City storyline so reprised his role, Conroy is voicing Batman still and a few days ago talked about working on an upcoming Arkham game, whether its Origins or the next Rocksteady Arkham game (which I theorise they are making for next gen) is still unclear.Verkula said:Both Hamill and Conroy played the younger and older versions of their characters many times already and they did a perfect job every time, so I call BS, they just don't want to pay them for their roles. I think they're just terrified of pushing ahead without The Joker. Since he's the most recognisable it's not hard to see why, although I would like them to focus on one villain and make something akin to Asylum again.Geo Da Sponge said:Hmmm... On the one end, another Arkham-style Batman game will probably be great in terms of mechanics, I'm really annoyed that they didn't have the guts to follow through on all the plot hooks they laid out in Arkham City. So they go back and do a prequel, because putting the word "Origins" in your title is way, way easier than figuring out what you're going to call the next game otherwise.
