AHHH VIOLENT VIDEOGAMES WILL RUIN US ALL!!!!111

He was probably playing Farmville and obviously had some serious issues besides this. I mean. A Sledgehammer? Twice?

What is he Czernobog reincarnate? (cookie for spotting the reference).

Can't wait for Fox to run with this one!

*LOL* You know that it is probably the case, You know the fact that the article even has the word "video games" in there means that video games are going to be blamed for his actions not him.

Also I agree A Sledgehammer.......... WTF!?!?!?!?!

If he's properly insane, he should be locked up for life in an asylum with padded walls to live the rest of his life in a straightjacket, so as to avoid hurting anyone else over tiny insignificant occurrences, like having his keyboard temporarily taken away.

If he isn't insane, then he truly is a pathetic excuse for a human being. Killed his own father over a keyboard?!

this kid will rot in the worst conner of hell for this, not only has he killed someone, but he also gave parents and press more room to work with on how video games are ruining kids. or maybe this kid is just a fucking psycho.

Theres an "In Soviet Russia" joke in here somewhere, I just can't see it.

The boy currently resides in a pre-trial detention center; under Russian law he is old enough to be charged with murder.
Well to be honest..good.
O.K. let's five it a go: In Soviet Russia, sledgehammer beats YOU to death with son for taking away father?
Awww crap, doesn't work...

The fact that I'm not completely shocked right now is really saying something about today's society... or my brain.

They're in Russia. Craaaaazy stuff happens there.

OT: That's really sad. One, because a man died because of a nutjob son who had severe problems.
two: because games/gamers will probably get the blame.

Well, one good thing about Russia, they don't mess around with that, "Juvenile" bullcrap. A 14 year old kid should have a good enough sense of right and wrong to know not to KILL people. So yeah, they should hold him fully responsible as much as they'd hold any adult.

Unfortunately, gaming is gonna be blamed as the cause of this as it looks that way anyway, but the kid obviously has some sort of problem, be it long-term or short-term. Why didn't the parents step in sooner? You know, before the kid became a sleep deprived sledge-wielder?
