16...best year of my life =)

hope you have a great one
I finally grew into my skull that year. Which is fantastic.
But quoted because I went through quite the contrary, completely destroying my life.

I didn't think that far ahead when I was young. Of course I suppose I had a nebulous idea that things would remain constant over the years... that was dead wrong.

Honestly, (mind you this was when i was 3 and Doogie Howser MD was big)I saw myself looking vaguely like Neil Patrick Harris.

Unfortunately, I wound up looking more like Bob Dylan.

Well it was only a year ago, so I guess I haven't changed that much. I think I have matured immensely from 16-17 mentally, and I'd say it has been the year with the biggest transformation of my mindstate.

Age 16 was crud. Yeah a lot of good stuff happened at that age, but nobody held house parties, and I wasn't old enough to go out drinking. Theres just no night life for a 16 year old here.

18s been much better.

i really didn't care at all: "yay, just another year older..." :p
- the only thing that changed was that i was legally allowed to drink now.

Mine wasn't super-sweet or anything like that. Looking forward to my 21st though.

Congratulations!

It's all downhill from there.

I saw myself being a lot less awkward and weird. Then I got more awkward and weird.

Life's a *****, ain't it?
What an awkward and weird thing to say.

And now, to be mean!

By 16 I had learned how to spell. Shame it doesn't happen to everyone.

[sub]Ok, that wasn't nice of me, but damn it, I saw an opportunity and I took it![/sub]

My 16th birthday was crap. So was my 18th come to think of it. I learned who my friends were. My 21st was the best. I was a pirate! Happy birthday btw.

I thought I might have a decent job by this point cos I planned to go to uni and I did that(I'm 23 and on the dole...) so yeah... I wish I could tell my 16 year old self to focus and not goof off in uni :(

I don't remember what I did a few days ago let alone 18 years ago. All I can say is I didn't see myself doing what I'm doing now.

I actually am 16.

When I was young I saw myself in my hometown in Florida, doing nothing in particular. I didn't put much thought into the future back then, I still ignore it mostly.

At 16... ok rewind a little more. When I was a kid, I saw myself being in my second last year at school, doing well, getting ready to go to college and most definetely not messed up on drugs and booze. The reality, last year at school(as a result of being put forward a year), barely turning up for any classes, smoking too much, drinking too much and basically wrecking my life for the next 2 years.

22 now, moving onward and upward and I laugh about it.

Well that's unfortunate.

Meh 16 you learn how to drive and then you have to run errands for everyone.

Happy Bday.

16's nothing special except for getting a drivers license. HELL YEA!

Not sure why the state's make such a big deal about "sweet 16". Maybe something to do with the archaic practice of getting girls married very young?
