Electro Software Human Resources Confidential Personnel File
Employee Number: 13,756
Name: Bethany
Position: Artist / Token Girl
Department: Games Division

Comments: Bethany has been transferred to the newly-created Games Division from the Clip Art Division, where she was employed as an artist.

Bethany's Official Permanent Record contains numerous write-ups citing behavioral issues and repeated violent outbursts including several instances of physical violence (biting) against fellow employees. Quoting her most recent performance review signed by the Manager of Clip Art, Brad: "Bethany is the craziest ***** I've ever worked with. Please fire her. She scares me. Seriously."

Termination was deferred by Upper Management citing the need to maintain the current number of female employees, as per affirmative action statutes.

A small dog with a deep voice and a bad temper?

An artistic, smug girl that has a violence problem?

Comedy genius. I've never ever seen such characters anywhere else.

Uhhh... Again, could you please tell me if it's supposed to be funny? No, seriously - funny, informational, inspiring... any adjectives?

I rewatched the trailer

It seemed like it actually COULD be funny, but the "dogs" part is really pointless

Why not just have them humans?

I hope the actual thing is good.
Can't really judge it on a 46 second clip.

At the moment it doesn't really seem that funny, but hopefully it gets better with age.

Noob question that I'm not sure I really want to know: What's a token girl?
Anyway, I'm sure it'll have it's own charm once the episodes get rolling.
Not sure if I'll watch them, but I'm not denying the charm's appearance.

Bethany has that 'I know I'm an anthropomorphic dog, but I know I'm fit' thing going on, an d that makes me uncomfortable.

Like seeing porn for The Lady and The Tramp.

#4 and #7 are the actual reasons [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/6.166654?page=3#4474638].

What, did you guys never watch TV in the 80s and 90s? That's like saying, "Gee, Darkwing Duck was great and all, but why did he have to be a DUCK? He'd have been much better as a crime-fighting human!"

A girl that's only there for the sake of being "the girl".

Token Girl means there as the minority group, basically, so in terms of the managerment putting her there it would to make the dept. not look sexist

Hey, I thought Apocalypse Lane would suck. But now I love it...So, hopefully this will get good.

As of now, looks like shit.

Sorry guys. Jon Etheridge will have to work overtime to make this work. As in, do more than voice work. That guy is great, he's even a regular poster, too.

I guess

But this dosen't seem to have the wacky-ness you'd get with such shows. If I were to listen to this with no video, like a radio broadcast, beyond referring to each other being dogs occasionally ("I'm more of an Ideas Dog-esque"), the premise would add little to it

Though I like the idea of a small dog with a big tie because he's height concious. Though if I were him, I'd wear a short tie to appear taller and bigger than my clothes, but hey ho.

I reiterate: looks promising, but the trailer contained zero-to-no laughs (actually, "all in favour of part-angel-part-goat made me smirk, to be fair). I'll watch it though, don't worry

Yes, but it never even references it except to say 'You dogs' instead of 'You guys'
At least that's what I can glean from the trailer and the bios.
It just seems unnecessarily distracting, if it's only going to be aesthetic.

But hey, I'm no pro at this stuff, but I know what I find funny, and this wasn't to me.
But other people seem to like it, so it doesn't bother me.

I just won't watch it.
Again, shows like Darkwing Duck, Samurai Pizza Cats, Animaniacs, etc. - where the hell is the plot relevance to them being ducks, or cats, or whatever the hell they are? There isn't any.

Oh no, Baloo is a bear and he's piloting a plane!

I'm sorry, as someone who grew up on cartoons about animals acting like humans, this just seems like the silliest damn complaint I have ever, ever heard.
