Transformers 3 Good for America Says Bay

Why is Michael Bay making Transformers 3? For America, of course!

Of all the reasons to make a movie about giant robots that transform into trucks and planes, and their irritating human friends, patriotism probably isn't high on the list, but according to explosion-loving director Michael Bay, it's his way of stimulating the economy, as well as giving his pals at Paramount a boost.

Speaking in a recent TV interview he said:

"The true story is we went to Vegas to celebrate [Revenge of the Fallen] crossing the $400 million mark domestic. I said I'm excited to do my small little movie. They said, well we're here to talk about that. I've become friends with these guys that run Paramount and they [told me,] 'We're going to get fired if we don't have a 2011 franchise,' so I'm like you can't let these guys down. The economy's been so rough, it's kind of important. When you say yes to movie like this you automatically give 3000 people jobs. 1000 for the toys. 2000 for the filmmaking. I'm going to put [the small film] on hold and do it right after [Transformers 3]."
So there you have it, Transformers 3 in 2011, directed by Michael Bay. The big question in my mind however, is how he's going to top the racially insensitive characters, robot genitalia jokes, and seeming endless shots of military hardware of Revenge of the Fallen.

Yes, it is truly a shame that a director that I actually consider pretty good is doing this crap.
Wait, did I say good? Oh damn. Don't hit me guys, I can explain.

I'm sorry, I read that as "Oh shit, I need to make another money vehicle.... uhh... uhh.... for AMERICA??"

It must be quite patriotic to help the economy by personally pocketing millions of dollars for movies you technically only filmed about 20% of, and then made the studio take care of the rest. All of us Americans should live by this example, no?

Bay reminds me of this asshole [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Transmetropolitan_characters#Presidents] so much:

Gary Callahan a.k.a. "The Smiler" - Once found masturbating with the American flag, because it "helps [him] relax!"

They're going to top Robot genetalia with Robot Sex jokes. Then they're going to have 15 minutes of nothing but US military gear, then have the Decepticons cause BAY-SPOLSIONS for another quarter - hour. Then you get Megan Fox fan service for 10 minutes, then 5 minutes of the only plot you'll hear. Then for the next hour it's BAY-SPOLSIONS and then cliffhanger. Then credits.

At least his cause for making this sounds good, legible, I'm not sure now...

Let me just play you a little tune on my violin. Really is this their pre-release marketing?

"Please come see our movie or we are all going to be jobless. You may not like them but come see them because your doing your good friend Michael Bay and all of his crew (but mostly Me Mr. Bay) a favor. So it is kinda important that you give us money, lots of it. Because we like money, hell since you gave us so much money before we could finally afford that trip to Vegas! Subsequently we kinda gambled the money away so we need more.

Come see Transformers 3. Its for the economy, its for our children, and most importantly, its for another trip to Vegas. Viva Las Vegas, 2011!"

You know what else is good for America? Swine flu. Bay's probably hard at work spreading that, too.

After all, it would only be the second plague he's unleashed upon our country.

Everything I would say, has already been said.

Calumon: I think that the robots should stop, and Digimon should PLAY! YAY!

Have they openly insulted homosexuals yet? Maybe include a robot on robot love tryst?

Personally I'm waiting for him to just say 'Fuck it' and throw Unicron in there.

I think he will create a fraternity of giant robots that behave exactly the same way as college football students. That they will be called from the president himselft to save the world, get the girl and if there is enough time help Sam being the more popular guy at college.

Am I the only one who enjoys these movies? I'm not calling them the greatest things ever but come on, can't you just watch them for what they are and have a bit of fun?
