The only way he could top the racist robots, the robo balls, and his boner for the military as far as bad ideas are concerned is to go completely over the line and make a sex scene between two of the robots.

Oh God, I can hear the squealing metal now. >.<
WHY WOULD YOU PUT THAT IMAGE I MY HEAD? *sobs*

Okay so what asinine macguffin is going to be the entire "plot" in this one. Seriously even MST3K never showed anything as bad as that. Maybe he's hoping one of them will tank. That way he can prove at least to himself that not everyone is an idiot.

How is that any different then any of his other movies?
Because The Rock, The Island and Armageddon were actually good :V

OT: I suppose this was inevitable but god save me I was hoping it wouldn't happen. Then again, what is one supposed to do when his last film made $400,000,000 domestically?

So there you have it, Transformers 3 in 2011, directed by Michael Bay. The big question in my mind however, is how he's going to top the racially insensitive characters, robot genitalia jokes, and seeming endless shots of military hardware of Revenge of the Fallen.
Have they openly insulted homosexuals yet? Maybe include a robot on robot love tryst?

Personally I'm waiting for him to just say 'Fuck it' and throw Unicron in there.
Technically, I think thats the only place they have left to go, unless they want to do a Mini-Con thing.

Well he could just skip it and start working more towards the Beast Wars.

Less dramatic though.

Let me just play you a little tune on my violin. Really is this their pre-release marketing?

"Please come see our movie or we are all going to be jobless. You may not like them but come see them because your doing your good friend Michael Bay and all of his crew (but mostly Me Mr. Bay) a favor. So it is kinda important that you give us money, lots of it. Because we like money, hell since you gave us so much money before we could finally afford that trip to Vegas! Subsequently we kinda gambled the money away so we need more.

Come see Transformers 3. Its for the economy, its for our children, and most importantly, its for another trip to Vegas. Viva Las Vegas, 2011!"
THIS is the true tragedy of all this nonsense. If you have to go to work the next morning, and you need to save your job with Transformers 3 (?!), then you probably need to be fired. Someone please stop these people from making films like this!

I want to see Bay's investment portfolio. Stimulate this!

Moar Railgun gais! No, but seriously, I don't care how stupid it is, I just watch it for the sexplosions and military stuff. If i wanted plot I would go watch The Shawshank Redemption or something. Enjoy it for what it is and bring out the WAAAAA-mbulance for those poor people "losing" a job in Hollywood.

Their making a third one? What in gods name could the plot be about?
Well, they've tried to destroy humanity and destroy the Sun, so the only things that could be bigger than that are to destroy the entire universe or go back in time and stop time from happening.

I called it. 28/2/10, I called it.

Of course it all makes sense now, Bay just does what he does... for 'Merica.

Wow, I feel pretty bad living in the same country as this guy. But then again he does fill that 13 year old boy niche, essentially making it the anti-thesis of Twilight and its 13 year old girl niche.

He's actually right about the degree to which films stimulate the economy: but that still doesn't excuse said films being shit.

I didn't think Revenge of the Fallen was that bad. It wasn't as bad as I expected. I think people like MovieBob and others are getting their panties in a twist over nothing. Don't watch it if you are going to cry that much, it's as simple as that. Too bad the world is filled with the so-called "intelligent society" ("I can ***** and cry more than you, that makes me smarter").
You're right! Legitimate criticism about cultural filth is just 'bitching and moaning'. Let's all sit back, drink our Bud Lights and watch Delta Farce and White Chicks on DVD until our eyes bleed.
/sarcasm
Anti-intellectualism astounds me, honestly. What in god's name is wrong with being smart?

If a movie like revenge of the fallen can make money at the box office, is it any wonder most moviemakers aren't even trying anymore?

first one entertained me, had some good robot fights even though the humans were just annoying. i got the second on DVD for christmas and watched it a month back, so much of it was just terrible and there was little or no gaint robot fights in the film. it went from a alright action film to a terrible comedy film not worth the DVD it was burned on.

That is some powerful bullshit. Oh maybe hes making Transformers 3 because he learned he could make a movie have it blasted, double everything it was blasted for in a sequel, and make even more at the box office. I saw the first one in theaters, didn't need to see the second one after the Escape to the Movies review, and verifying the Devastator Teabag scene, and the like with youtube. Hard to imagine them outshittying the camerawork, at this point an easy way to improve the franchise would be to let some 8 year old fanfic writer do the screenplay, outsource the CG to Silicon Knights, but make them do it on the unreal engine, top it off by leaving the lensecap on.

I pretty much feel the same way. I'm not saying these movies are the greatest movies ever or anything. I'm just going to wait and watch as everyone freaks out about the third movie now.
