Zero Punctuation Viewers Choice Winner

[http://www.escapistmagazine.com/contests/register/ZPViewersChoice]After more than a week of voting and over 100,000 votes, you've finally selected your favorite episode of our popular feature Zero Punctuation. Viewers have been tuning in each week for the last three years to get a taste of Yahtzee's cynical criticism and amusing animations, so picking a favorite wasn't easy. We began with 64 of the most popular episodes, from Age of Conan to Wolfenstein, and then watched as the field narrowed. We were shocked to see massive favorites like Assassin's Creed knocked out in the very first round. Other strong contenders like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and BioShock soon fell victim to the harsh, winner-takes-all brackets.

But in the end, there can only be one. Fittingly, it's for Yahtzee's review of Duke Nukem Forever, a game that has not even been released yet and is best known for its laughably long development cycle. You can check out the full bracket [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/global/tournaments/standings/4] and be sure to let us know through the comments link below whether the democratic process has once again proven its superiority.

Check out the winning episode here!

I've gotta hand it to Painkiller. It put up a good show and would have been a worthy winner as well. But it's good the Duke ended up on top. 13 years of hell but at least his non-existent game's review won something. :D

I'm just sad it was one of the ones with that absolutely atrocious generic synthmetal intro/outro.

I miss when the intro/outro were jokes unto themselves.

Same here.

OT: My faves were Saint's Row 2, Dragon Age: Origins and Dark Void. Dark Void is the one I liked most, but yeah, this one ain't bad either.

As I've constantly said before - picking a Best Video is useless because all of them have their own charm and wit and I can surely say that all of his videos include at least a few quotes worth remembering for the rest of your life :)

The only thing I'm disappointed about, is that the Sonic Unleashed review didn't make it farther. REALLY? It lost to JUST CAUSE 2? I agree that that one was funny too, but Yahtzee got so UNBELIEVEABLY and HILARIOUSLY pissed over Sonic Unleashed, that it's without a doubt one of my favorites :D
But, ah well, my disappointment just means I'm not a member of the Escapist Hive Mind, and thinking for myself is OKAY WITH ME! :D

Because the painkiller review wasn't even that good. In fact, i don't even know how it managed to reach the final. Sure, it had a few good puns, but to me, it's seems like people are just bandwagoning on a review based entirely around a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning.

.oO(With that said, people are of course entitled to their opinion)

I'm gutted Wolfenstein went out first round. I mean... that was the lymeric review!
Yh, I tried voting in the early rounds, but it wouldn't let me, so I couldn't try to save Wolfenstein...

Its ironic that the best game review is a review on a game that doesn't exist.
