I was pretty disappointed with some of the results in the event. I'm of the opinion that his early 2008 stuff was golden, I felt they've sort of gone downhill since 2009 just after I joined the Escapist as a member. A couple of my favorites (Bioshock, MGS4, Mass Effect) got knocked out early and some of my favorites (I think, most notably, Condemned 2 and Jericho) weren't even considered. I guess we all have our favorites, and the DNF review was certainly clever to a degree, so I'll have to take solace in that. On the most positive side, DNF was a showcase of what I actually find most interesting about ZP, now, in that it was almost purely Yahtzee's critiquing part of the games industry.

Out of all the videos, this one earns it because this is the only game that has never been out in 12 years. 12 years of delays and procrastination, 3D Realms had to shut thier doors and DKF has never seen the light of day.

Like the game title says, Duke Nukem forever. Now all we have to do is wait for the game to actually come out...if that's possible.

Well, I won't lie; I was kind of hoping DNF would win (I forgot to actually *vote*, though). Still I would have figured the award would go to a game that had already come out.

Either way, I was happy. I loved both the reviews, had a hard time picking my favorite. I backed Painkiller because it shocked me that Yahtzee actually enjoyed one of the games he reviewed. But Duke won in the end, and I tip my hat to it...or I would, if it existed.
