if you look at it from a buisness point of view, if you farm in a pvp area you're going to be ganked eventually, and it wouldn't make any scence to fire someone who already knows how to play the game and farm in the game to be replaced by some noob due to an eventuallity. no mattre what country your in that's just buisness sence. as for being poor, they have enough for computers, desks (for them to sleep under apparently), electricity, and new accounts when ever one is banned. and besides, making just enough for food and shelter is awesome from the eyes of someone in a prison in the same thrid world country, it's all a matter of perspective really.

Unfortunately in this case, as someone mentioned above with aim vs spirit, this was a case of the writer being in the moral AND the technical right.

Games like EVE try to create something special, and cynical profiteers try to violate that. Yes, someone may very well have come up badly for losing that ISK-merchant fleet, but they were breaking both the rules AND the spirit of the game.

Now maybe they felt forced to, but in this case, it's rules and spirit vs feeling bad for someone who knew, one way or another, they were doing something immoral.. two against a somewhat self-undermining one.

My way of looking at it? Someone who is hardly a nice person just took enough damage to their business to put them out of it entirely. At least, it's about as possible they were that small as it is there were sweatshop workers flying those things. And even if it isn't, they may well have lost enough to make it not worthwhile trying to fix things.

It is a sad thing that we as players can feel guilty about something that ruthless sweatshops are doing (or are making people do), but I think it's important to remember that the farmers exist because someone want to make a profit from something that you are not supposed to make a profit from, and that at least helps MY guilty conscience considerably.

Frankly I'm supprised that there isn't more farmer corporations in the world. But I guess that it isn't all countrys that have a "bad" enough economy to make it work.

I would say that to feel bad for the farmers is silly. That's what insurance is for.
I would have no mercy if I caught a farmer, they ruin the feel of the game for a lot of people. Besides, everything goes in Eve. If they can't handle a loss like that, then they need to find something else to do.
