I'm from Australia.
We hardly ever have Nintendo events.

Do you know how bummed I am that American Gamestops are offereing Shiny Enteis, Suicunes and Raikous? Which will unlock Zorora if transfered to Black/White? And a Celebi? All this month!

I only have a Jirachi and Mew (Which, don't get me wrong, is awesome. I just miss out on ALL the others which is a bummer)
just keep waiting the events will swing your way. they dogs and celebi tie into the new movie. its premiering feb 5th in america. find out when its premiering in australia and you will find out when the pokemon are coming.
We haven't had a Pokemon movie released in cinemas in Australia since 2000.
For good bloody reason... thems terrible. Funny enough, I went to Austrailia at the beginning of the year and nabbed 5 Jiraichi's for me and my mates, I have all the games.

I bought Pokemon White, my first Pokemon game since the 1996 original Pokemon Blue, and I caught them all. All 649. All Pokemon, all rares, legendaries, and event Pokemon.

And I did it legitimately.

I may not have been able to go to an event, but I was able to find people online willing to trade. And trade I did. Here, there. Everywhere. First it was just to get all the regional Pokemon, but it grew and grew and soon my Pokedex was 100% complete.

... I got a pat on the back from Professor Juniper. That was about it.

... Could've at least given me a plaque or trophy for my room or something.

Good article BUT let me get this straight "at the place I worked was a machine that spat out the legendary's" but then you still cheated for Deoxyus and Jirachi? You had them in the machine dude...

I think you should realisticly be able to catch all of them on that one game you own, or at most on two games, as they release them in pairs. All this "go to special event" stuff is retarded as who is going to travel to a Japan or American only event if you leave in the UK? An this is a kids game after-al. Most they should have, for instance, they should have a few White only pokemon that can unlock certain areas in Black and thus allow you to explore new areas and track down the unobtainable pokemon.

An all the bloody hoops you are forced to jump though. Like some legendary ones you can only grab one of the three. Meaning more playthroughs. Retarded. Wouldnt matter so much if they were all awesome, but 80% of the pokemon out their suck.

I've never traded sincerely with another player.

Pokemon franchise always felt like it was for Middle Class twerps to meet up with other Middle Class twerps and battle/trade.

If you were upper working class (like the vast majority of people in the Western World you were screwed)

I love Pokemon but I also hate how it forces you to socialise with other players. Not everyone lives in a sprawling Metropolis Nintendo. I have NO ONE to trade with. I am 23 years of age, and if I go to the local Primary School to 'trade Poky Men' I'd be arrested for being a Paedophile.

Yup, other kids used to get confused when I told them I had finished the game and only caught maybe 20 pokemon.

Ten to get HM05 Flash to get through Rock Tunnel (optional if you have a map or a lot of patience), then get about ten more as random gifts (such as Lapras in Silph Co., Hitmonchan (because Hitmonlee always scared me)), Rares (Snorlax/Legendary birds/Mewtwo, etc.) and evolutions would bring my Pokedex to about 30 by the time I finished.

My favourite team would be: Charizard, Kingler, Scyther, Onix, Jolteon, Fearow. A decent spread, in my opinion, although I admit Scyther is there only because I want one in real life, and isn't especially spectacular in-game.

lol, same here, but i just did this: get heart gold and diamond and an action replay with walk through walls, then catch them all in diamond if you have a friend with a ds tell him to trade with you, confused? well here is an easier way: you buy the games. finish diamond.then finish heart gold. then find a friend who has a ds and meet up and give it to him (to borrow of course) and then trade all the pokemon you need from there and then with walk through walls, go get all the special legends, like darkrai, shaymin, and arceus (it is possible).

Legendaries lose their point if you acquire them illegitimately.
