No mention of Gremlins?
I'm with this post. I not only think of this as the best Christmas movie ever, but also believe it is as important a Christmas movie as the others on this list as it was the first film that I can remember to create a seasonal merchandising fad (outside of traditional xmas merchandising) as well as the first to do the whole Christmas/not Christmas movie thing which has been quite popular.

Plus I've always seen Gremlins as the anti-A Christmas Carol. I prefer the idea of the Scrooge character dying on a rocket powered stair lift over an overnight supernatural brainwashing any day.

Plus, plus; who wouldn't rather have an adorable little furry animal that sings lullabies over a geriatric in his pyjamas.

Sad to see It's a Wonderful Life didn't make the cut. The 51 version of Christmas Carol is my favorite version too. It's even better than the Muppets'!
Complete agreement and complete disagreement in the same post! It's A Wonderful Life is easily my favorite Christmas film, and one of my favorites in general, but nothing beats the Muppets! Nothing I say!
Indeed. It is my favorite Christmas special ever.

Uhhh what about Jingle all the Way?!?? "Put that cookie down!"
YES! Second favorite, even though I know it's pretty lame.

I wish television stations would show these three movies on Christmas Day instead of that horrid, torturous piece of filth called A Christmas Story.
What do you not like about it? I MUST know.
