Hi I have my Samsung HD ready television hooked up to the 360 and it's running at 720p but somehow Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption sometimes seem to look like PS2 graphics I have tried looking up this problem but I cannot find anything about it I have the cables all hooked to the second slot and have left the yellow one hang low.

HEWLP!

Have you got an older 360, with the composite cable, if so there is a little switch on it that you have to flick for HD! :)

I don't know a lot about TV's but you did flip the switch on the base of the video cables where it plugs into the 360... it has a standard option and HD.

And you are using the Green... blue... and whatever the other one is and not the red white and yellow.

Like i said im no expert.

See... I do this and I get a HD image but no sound... so I've been playing in regular definition on my HD tv... I'm pretty confused by it and still haven't figured out how to get the sound!

If you haven't done this already go to console settings then display then pick 1080. That should completely fix the problem.

I think you still need to plug in the audio cable from the standard cables... i think... i'll check my connection if that doesnt do it.

You need to use the audio cables at the other end of the cable. I think they're red, yellow and white, I can't remember which are the audio ones though.

What cable are you using to connect it to the TV?
I'm using the 360 cable they provide.

Sound didn't work for Me until I put the white cable in another white slot just above it's usual place.

You have to connect them all to the composite connection on your tv, it requires all 5 :)

They have stopped supplying the 360 with a composite cable now, it is just the regular cable :-S

I'm using a scart adapter on my HDtv as it doesn't have the A/V R/W/Y plugs. The official tutorial thingy on the xbox website says to leave the yellow cable unplugged... I'm thinking it's not working because of the scart adapter...

Scart can't do HD resolutions, I think it's stuck at 480p.

This too is really important, you should be able to pick what level (720/1080) too I think.

If you're using HD on your composite cable then this is how you connect it:

I used to have a scart adapter on my old TV but I think only standard Def will work.
