That was an expansion not DLC. There is a difference. I don't mean to be pedantic but the difference between DLC and an Expansion is big.

DLC - Downloadable Content
Shivering Isles came in both physical and downloadable form, making it qualify as DLC.
I agree with you that most DLC (costumes etc) are pointless and/or overpriced, however, whether or not they should be segmented is subjective...

Just because something can be Downloaded and it is content does not make it DLC. The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles is the largest official expansion pack for the role-playing game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. If you look on the box it says expansion and not DLC unlike some of the Fallout stuff is DLC. Horse Armour is DLC Shivering Isles isn't.

Personally, they should be different as they both do different things if you look at why expansions were made and why DLC was made.

My reasoning for being part of the 49% would be lack of money and being arsed. You want me to pay for 4 DLC sections at a tenner each on a waitress' wage with a waitress' time? You put those 4 sections of DLC together and make an effing sequel.

I'm one of those that will chime in with DLC, hell no am I paying that much for horse armour and having a char in your camp go "hey spend irl loots on a quest!11!!" in the middle of the game utter bullshit. If i see a FO vegas dlc on half price i might get a few of them its full missions and level cap. I fully agree with the music genre's, RB and guitar hero, selling songs and track packs picking and choosing mucic i want to play is a hell of a lot more fun. Reskins though? weapons? BS

I fall into the "not enough DLC for interested games" category myself. But when something does come out for a game I have and give two shits about I will almost always get the DLC too
