I need to check out 4Chan. Maybe then I'd understand the hate.

From what I hear, you shouldn't if you value what innocence you have left.

If you've played Doom 3 and Fatal Frame at the same time, in the dark of course, you would gather some information of what 4chan really is.

Well I, being the person that barely shuddered during Dead Space, and only found true horror from Pyramid Head from SH2, I don't think all the rape and shit on 4chan would startle me that much.

Listen, graphic images aren't /b/. /b/ is the primal unbridled cruelty of the human race. It is absolute and complete malice, and the longer you stay there the more corrupt you become.

It is a barren waste, the very air you breathe is poison.

I once took part in a raid of an adult webcam chat. There was an obese lady and /b/ absolutely ripped in to her, they called her worthless, whale, fat, and told her to kill herself. She was sobbing by the time it was over.

Let me tell you something, I will forever have her expression burned into my mind.

As old as this is, I don't think they can be criticized. With what Anonymous has been doing in Australia (Operation Titstorm) I'm actually cheering for them.... it's about time.

Anonymous being a group of hackers who operate off of 4chan and it's /B/ board (simple version if somehow you don't know who they are).

Also 4chan is ancient, and all jokes aside it has influanced more things than you might realize. The reason why this is/was funny is because Moot makes a degree of sense. Consider also how many people will get the referances made in that first letter stunt, which also beautifully makes the point. Pretty much anyone with a computer knows about Marblecake and The Game, and that is influance whether you like it or not. Very clever overall.

No offence, but is there any real point to necroing this thread? I mean, it's almost a year old...

Anyway, since I'm here I may as well post something relevant. Quite frankly, it didn't come as much of a surprise to me when I first heard about this. No-one (except for Anonymous) was expecting it, but still, I wasn't surprised. 4chan have proven that when rallied around a cause they can be pretty damn influential, and this is one of the things that shows their resourcefulness. Anyway, the only real bad stuff there is /b/, they're pretty much the scum of the internet whereas the other boards there range from pretty disturbing to pretty pleasant . They cover all sorts there...

And this is why we must take the right to vote away from all 4 Chan users. If we don't, then Moot will run for preident and will win the popular vote due to a mass voting movement which will outwieght the 30-40% of people who actually vote. Thank god for the Electoral College though.

OT: It's not really fair to have an internet poll and have one of the choices be a guy who is only famous ON the internet. It's like offering try-outs to make an amature Basketball team and giving a starting spot to a NBA player.

But I've been on 4chan and I've seen what has produced and I respectfully disagree with the praise for 4Chan as a place that promotes honesty but I in no way disrespect the man who created it.
