We british simply laugh with scorn at the mistake you made by leaving us.

Poor fools.

No, seriously I just get up REALLY high to see if I can get a look at your fireworks.

This is so much better purely for the first half of the answer.

I'm going to shoot off a laser candle (the "fully automatic" 120 round version of the roman candle), and a few pyrotechnics.

well just because you're not here doesn't mean you cant do somthin special, for example i celebrate chinese new year with my friends who live a couple blocks from me. am i chinese? no. am i buddhist? no. so why do i celebrate it? because i can and its fun! doesnt matter where you are if you feel like celebrating something you enjoy i suggest you do it! if anyone asks tell them you're celebrating the ability to eat and watch explosions :p

Unfortunately, nothing. My Dad is sick so we can't go and see fire works. :( Although, I might see some from my widow tonight (hopefully).

I live in Britain so no.. buuut

Because some Americans have come over because of some school music thing that happens every year, there's some fireworks going off randomly every few minutes and my cat is not enjoying that one bit. He's sitting at the bottom of the stairs crying.

I have to be at work at 4:00 AM tomorrow.

Holidays are for children and other people with access to unlimited funds. Bah, humbug.

Oh you party poopers. Just because it's not your countries holiday doesn't mean you can't at least have some festivities!

Screw the Fourth of July. I'm an American, and not unpatriotic, but I still hate it. And there's a very simple reason for this:

You know how kids born around Christmas always ***** about getting less presents? Well, I was born on July 1st, and guess what? EVERYBODY SKIPS TOWN for Fourth of July weekend. You know what's lame? Having three friends show up to your birthday party. Also having to hold a week in advance or a week late.

We hosted family yesterday, and today we're setting off small fireworks so our 2-year old nephew can see them. But it's more about relaxing today than anything.

Sorry man... that really sucks. I've got the same deal: my b-day's the 20th of August, just when I have to go back to college. Not fun.

I'm going to go outside, light up some fireworks, come back inside, watch 1776, and go to sleep having stuffed myself with unhealthy food.
