Well, I'm over here in Britain, so no 04/07 celebrations going on over here. Though for some strange reason, that hasn't stopped my work trying to engage us all in some Independence Day related festivities - not surprisingly the take up has been practically non-existent.

So, what will all you crazy Americans be doing for St Andrews Day? :p

Good choice. Seeing that it's a Friday this year, I'll most likely be working. I may live in Scotland, but my bloody work operates under the English holidays. How kind of them.

Nothing this year. Not enough money these days.

But when we do buy fireworks me, my bros, and my dad go to town. We swing down to Indiana or Ohio and buy a few grand worth of the good illegal fireworks. When the Fourth rolls around it consists of heaping mounds of burgers, steaks, and hot dogs and whatever the hell anyone else brought. Beer? Oh yes. Tens of our friends show up then usually most of the neighborhood congregates with us because they know whats up, they've seen it before.

When it's nice and dark the fireworks commence. We save the big stuff for last along with a cannon and shotgun fire. My brother usually lights everything off whilst wearing his goggles and American flag cape (lol).

The only cops that tried to stop us were these redneck asshole cops where my dad lives that don't have anything better to do but be a bunch of big dicks so they can appear like they actually work. When they aren't pulling you over for going 5 above the speed limit they sit in the gas station parking lot playing with themselves. God I hate small town cops.

Oh you party poopers. Just because it's not your countries holiday doesn't mean you can't at least have some festivities!
But that would mean acknowledging we had an empire and also that we don't anymore.
Thats like you celebrating China's increasing economic strength.
I do by purchasing a number of their products =].

We hosted family yesterday, and today we're setting off small fireworks so our 2-year old nephew can see them. But it's more about relaxing today than anything.

Yeah, look how the US fail at war (Vietnam and Korea) without our divine influence
Didn't the UK participate in Korea?
Come to think of it, I think the UK did....hmmm....but still the US lost Vietnam war. The US only got involved becuase they wanted to stop the spread of communism and to help the French becuase they were loosing the war. Fucking French, always need someone to help them out in war.

What it's all really about:
Isn't the P-90 made in Belgium? Or is this just a 'Americans love their flags and guns' joke? Either way, that picture looks kick-ass.

What France really needs to do is make Halo-style armor and give it to the Foreign Legion. And put chainsaws on the ends of their FAMAs. They'd look so cool no one would want to fight them...except the Chinese, but they're crazy.

Yeah and the Japanese, they are mental, if they fail at something they would get a granade an roll under a enemy tank and pull the pin, killing themselves in the process
