The only possible reason a profitable web site ever shuts down is when the threat of losing all of their money(and then some), is more likely than them continuing to make a profit.SilverUchiha said:I don't see the point since I heard Facebook is planning to shut down here within a year, or is that still in the "rumor phase" of news?

Yes, it's also planning on charging a subscription fee, adding a dislike button, and planning on reverting back to the original design layout.SilverUchiha said:I don't see the point since I heard Facebook is planning to shut down here within a year, or is that still in the "rumor phase" of news?

Yeah, it kinda does. But worse is people who does things like replacing letters with numbers and substituting '-cks' with '-x'.Ventuquies said:Facebook sux

OT: That statistic is pretty deceiving. It's like those statistics where they say "Someone is hit by a bus every six seconds worldwide" or something like that. Of course they do, there's a lot of buses and a LOT of people. Won't stop me from crossing the street.
Well that fashion relly can in to go around the idiocity of internet censorship. like some forums censor word "suck" so go around saying "sucks" they use "sux" and automatic censor doesnt pick it up. Same goes for fux.Raiyan 1.0 said:Yeah, it kinda does. But worse is people who does things like replacing letters with numbers and substituting '-cks' with '-x'.Ventuquies said:Facebook sux
Clearly, the people you hang out with are self-serving idiots. I'm a friend of Root's and wouldn't do that to him. Nor would any of my friends or my boyfriend. Your friends suck.Athinira said:They exist.The_root_of_all_evil said:Most people think they do. Maybe you just suck at gauging peoples motivation. That's the most common problem that breaks up those "unbreakable" friendsships, simply that one persons motivations either change or wasn't completely known to the other part. Most people don't really get that it's motivation that can make or break a friendship.
Example: Two girls who are best friends. Suddenly one gets a boyfriend, and she suddenly starts prioritizing the boyfriend above her friend, and her friend simply doesn't understand how she after all those years can prioritize her boyfriend over her best friend. That's the 101 example of misjudged motivation breaking up a friendship, and i have seen it happen.... several times (i have luckily also seen them make up again later). The reason i use girls in the example is that it's much more common for girls to misjudge motivations of other girls. Men are simply much transparent, and girls have more fluctuating motivations (and a higher love for creating drama), which is why this is most commonly a girls problem.
It's true that few persons are lucky to have such a friend (even luckier if they have more than one), but they exist.
Oh you poor dear. It sounds like you've had a rough life. =(The_root_of_all_evil said:Most people think they do.
