Your Mom's Computer Can Run Fallout: New Vegas

System requirements for the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas [http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-New-Vegas-Collectors-Xbox-360/dp/B003N0YCCG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1286207901&sr=8-2] have been revealed, along with a partial list of classic tunes that will be spun by two New Vegas radio stations.

Ah, Vegas. The sights. The sounds. The skulls that explode like rotting coconuts dashed against hot pavement. Is there anyplace in the world more exciting? But as the saying goes, if you want to play, you've got to pay - or at the very least, have a PC that meets these minimum system requirements:

Dual-core 2.0 GHz CPU
2GB RAM
10GB free HDD space
Nvidia GeForce 6 series or ATI 1300XT series video card
Windows XP/Vista/7

And what's a trip to the glittering jewel of the desert without the melodious magic of music to make your memories complete? Like Bethesda [http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-3-Game-Year-Xbox-360/dp/B001REZLY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1286208009&sr=8-1] has released playlists from two of the game's radio stations and yes, there will be Ink Spots.

Sadly, it doesn't appear that Three Dog will turn up to offer warnings about the importance of keeping one's weapons in good working order. Fallout: New Vegas comes out on October 19 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Those specs are pretty low. Not as if that's a bad thing...

All I know is that the Gamebyro engine is starting to show its age.

Very accommodating, although it'd be a bit of an insult to demand anything more; it's not exactly a looker.

Yep, it's about time they let me into this series. Royalties here I come!

OT: Man, those are rather low requirements to play the game, I honestly expected more.
However low requirements mean more players.

Considering it's basically Fallout 3: New Vegas Edition, it's not really surprising.

Lol such low requirements. My old PC from the year 2001 will be able to play this.
Bear in mind that these are minimum reqs. Recommended will be higher, optimum will be higher still and best even more

Oh yeah. I love this song.
In the end, im sure i'll install the extensive radio mod anyway, the more the merrier, especially when it comes to old classics.

Logics! 9800 is 9th series and since 9>6 its newer so you are safe to go.

No 3 dogg? God damn it!

Can't wait till this comes out =D
We wont need to wait much longer will we? I think it's only a couple of weeks now.
Who needs 3 Dog? We're getting Mr Vegas himself Wayne Newton. Trading up in my opinion.
Speaking of which, why aren't there any Wayne Newton Songs listed here. At least. "Danke shon."

Actually, I'm hoping this is a very abridged playlist: I'm expecting the radio in vegas to play a Danny Kaye tune (he had my favorite in F3) as well as some Elvis (how can you have Vegas without Elvis). And no it doesn't have to be "Viva Las Vegas" but it would be fitting.

I'm surprised, I could've gotten this for my PC after all. I'm sure it will be fun on the ps3 anyway. At least (it doesn't sound like) we're going to have to wait for any of the dlc.

Wow, my PC is significantly more powerful than this. Still, I'm used to PS3 so give me good PS3 version or I won't buy it until it dirt-cheap on steam sale.

My CPU is the weak link of my system---a 2006-issue 2.4GHz E6600 dual-core. I might just upgrade the damn thing and remove the last original part (other than the Socket 775 motherboard) from the original PC.

The '6 series' is the 6100, 6200, etc. As I recall, the higher 'thousand' number, the better card you have, until you get to 9999 at which point they wrap around to just 'hundreds' instead with the 200, 300 series etc.

So yeah, your 9800 GT should be far more than enough.

It's not a surprise, considering this is barely a bit more than Oblivion required.
