ok... i am not an expert on computing gaming, i surpass most of those specs

but i dont know about the graphix card, i have a 9800 GT

is that higher or lower than the "6 series"?

i really dont know! anyone care to enlighten me?
Logics! 9800 is 9th series and since 9>6 its newer so you are safe to go.
I had the same question comparing mine to this. Seems I should be able to run this game fine on a PC... Maybe I can get it for that? Hurray for mods and stuff, and hopefully no constant freezing/locking up like the PS3 version of Fallout 3 had the more you played.

Wow, my PC is significantly more powerful than this. Still, I'm used to PS3 so give me good PS3 version or I won't buy it until it dirt-cheap on steam sale.
Just use your PS3 controler with the computer...
Trophies, man. Trophy collecting is a kind of MMORPG.
No trophies are worth suffering through that mess again. I almost had to start a new playthrough just to finish the content in the Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta DLC packs: After the main game and other 3 DLCs, the game barely ran. Never again, I say! Doing my research first and getting the version that runs the best.

Wooo a new game that my crappy video card can play :D

I hate you nVidia 9400 D:
I know not everyone has a bunch of money to throw around (myself included), but the GTS 450 is only $130 and easily over-clockable, so don't worry about buying the "premium" editions. When I was researching it, one of the websites even did a (cost)/(frames per second) ratio and this card won out damn near every single time. Found it!:

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=416&Itemid=72&limit=1&limitstart=10

That's just a random test, but it shows the cost/frame on the bottom of all.

I just bought one Saturday, and I have to admit that it even puts my 9800GTX to shame. I plan to buy a second one soon and SLI them, which is supposedly greater than or equal to buying a GTX470/480, and cheaper even with the combined cost.

Like I said, I know money isn't something everyone has to throw around, but at $130, this is a really really good card.

Hope the game scales up quite a bit, Starcraft 2 also had comparatively low reqs, but it still looked great with the graphics cranked.

My Ma's PC could run this, no problem. Played Fallout 3 on it last time I was house-sitting for them, come to think of it. All settings on High.

No only is it a good rig but every couple of months she has me come around and run a brutal purge of all the shit the grandkids and my step-Da have loaded into the system.

My ma might not be the most computer savvy woman around but she certainly understood "far more capable system for the same price and therefore same tax write off" when we discussed getting her a custom rig built instead of some off-the-shelf job. :D

The '6 series' is the 6100, 6200, etc. As I recall, the higher 'thousand' number, the better card you have, until you get to 9999 at which point they wrap around to just 'hundreds' instead with the 200, 300 series etc.

So yeah, your 9800 GT should be far more than enough.
Oh! thank you!, i had no idea how they where "numbering" the cards, so it sounds i have enough

Thanks again!!

Sadly, it doesn't appear that Three Dog will turn up to offer warnings about the importance of keeping one's weapons in good working order.
Don't feed the Yao Guai!

I'm probably going to get New Vegas, though most likely on my PS3 since I feel it's more of a "console-y" kind of game, and I'm always nervous when tinkering around with my computer so mods and stuff are rarely dabbled in for me.. We'll see though

EDIT: wait, I have an ATI Radeon HD 5700, would that be enough to play it? If not;

Can we atleast have a customizable radio station this time round?

Who wants to bet how many freezes and CTDs you experience in the first day?

It wouldn't work on the "mom's" pc , the average moms PC has 4 antivirus programs running at once, 50 startup programs, desktop cluttered with shit eating up ram, and is running on intels integrated graphics.
...Wow. That is depressingly and startlingly accurate.

You, sir, are the winner of this thread.
Yay! What do I win?

Well the Oblivion/Fallout 3 engine is garbage anyway, so it makes sense for the specs to be low. But, my computer graphics card is pretty dated anyway so I'm all for it.

Lol such low requirements. My old PC from the year 2001 will be able to play this.
You had a dual core 3 years before they made the very first one? And why did you get 2 gig when you could run a lot of games on 64mb?

These requirements are actually very high when you consider they are the minimum, you'll need a high end PC no more than a couple of years old or a very very very high spec machine from no more than 4 years ago to comfortably exceed these.

But I have a 220 GT. So I can't play it?

And I don't think my Mom's PC could play this. It uses Windows 2000.

Mine will, and now I have a good enough PC I won't have to get the PS3 version. Mods! :)
The 200/400 series are after the XXXX series. You're all good.

THAT'S low-spec? Well, I must be much farther behind with my 256MB RAM computer than I thought.

You mean Steam achievements?
Nah, I don't care about steam achievements. I meant PS3 trophies. You have bronze, silver, gold, platinum and leveling up.

MMORPG. See?
