BioWare Drops Another Hint

BioWare [http://www.bioware.com] has let slip another hint about its secret new project and this one leads somewhere that you probably weren't expecting.

BioWare related to Mass Effect [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/105366-Get-a-Glimpse-at-BioWares-New-Project].

Now another bridget has appeared on Secret Intelligence Service [http://www.facebook.com/BioWare]. They're the James Bond guys, sometimes known as MI6.

What does it mean? Maybe the new project is an Spectres [http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-Protocol-Xbox-360/dp/B001D25M1Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290201655&sr=8-1] make a mess of things and they're getting ready to step in and show them how it's done.

Or maybe... maybe it's something else entirely.

It's time to put our heads together on this, people. We need to think this out. We need options! The obvious choice is obvious - a spy game - but with more than three weeks to go before the big reveal, would BioWare really tip its hand so, well, obviously? The first clue was the atomic mass of iron; the second was the coldest recorded temperature on Earth, taken at Vostok, which is also the name of a system in Mass Effect [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Vostok]; but now, we're pointed at the Secret Intelligence Services. What does it mean? How do these pieces all fit together?

And do you still think it's Mass Effect 3?

I think it's a large DLC set in some system in the universe...

As bad as that sentence was I do know what I'm talking about. Windows Gamer explained it in a tweet and I liked their theory.

thinking its gonna be a futuristic action game (probably set in the mass effect universe) possibly telling the story of first contact between humans and the aliens.
thinking its gonna be set in london (hence why you could see the tower bridge and the thames in the trailer) with an mi6 agent sent to investigate all the wierd things happening.

Or, like you said, it could just be British spies stepping in for Spectres, but that is just boring.

Too bad Sony Russia occasionally confirmed that it's Mass Effect 3 on Twitter. And as it happens with Sony, a screenshot has been taken before they removed it.

It says "Bioware company showed a teaser for VGA award in which you can see first footage of Mass Effect 3.
It's a Sony, people. PSP Go leaked, PSP2 leaked, now they leak even third-party announcements.

I'm still waiting for them to reveal Tali's face, let alone the answer to this mystery. Is it CoD style shooter? Will it take place in the same era as the ME trilogy? Is that guy related to Michael Madsen? I don't like all these questions.

BioWare [http://www.bioware.com] has let slip another hint about its secret new project and this one leads somewhere that you probably weren't expecting.

That image is all the proof that I need. It is almost certainly related to Mass Effect. That short little clip probably took a fairly significant amount of effort to put together, and (I hope) Bioware is not so lazy as to reuse a design that would still require them to remodel the weapon entirely.

This my friends, is VERY clearly an Incisor Sniper Rifle, and it is a weapon in Mass Effect 2.

Whether it's Mass Effect 3, or 'N7 Code of Honor: Medal of Duty', I care not, I will be greatly excited.

Please let it be a spy game, as much as I looooove Mass Effect, I would prefer a new IP over COD: Spectre Agents.

I hope that this is a huge DLC expansion pack for ME2; similar to Awakening for Dragon Age. Play as a earth spy in the Vostok system, who can control iron with my mind. I doubt that it more than mere coincidence that one of the hints was about Vostok, a system in Mass Effect. Plus, the gun and armor looks too much like the items in the space opera. If it isn't Mass Effect 3, it will be a spin-off or DLC.

As long as it's not some multiplayer CoD/MoH clone set in the Mass Effect universe (So many more fun things I'd like to see them do with the universe as opposed to just a cash in) I don't care what it is, I will just sit here watching over the internet like a hawk for future information, trailers, everything.

Shepard could die in ME2. Most likely ME3 is about new hero, like Dragon Age 2.

Or maybe it's the guy you'll assume the role of if you either start a new game (without loading a save from ME2) or got Shepard killed off for good in your save file.
