So I just feel like sharing this since I've seen so many posts of people being flung off the mountain unable to continue not knowing what to do

Well I was anticipating this moment greatly and was on a constant look out for that troll
Suddenly I spotted a shortcut up the mountain and so I took it

up above me I hear a dragon roaring, because I'm taking the shortcut he can't get to me.
This makes the dragon land in the middle of the 7000 steps close to the troll
The troll obviously not amused starts attacking the dragon, the dragon fights back but keeps landing back in the same spot

I wanted to screenshot it but skyrim is being abitch and not letting me

So guys have you ever had a problem solved for you like this in a game?

I partially specialize in conjuration for that sole reason.
Being able to summon a distraction is the easiest way to win a fight.

OT: a dragon I was fighting suddenly got distracted by my horse, and then got attacked by a giant that was nearby. So I barely had to try for that fight.

just a quick question : did the troll win that fight too?

I am starting to believe that trolls are stronger than dragons

None other but the sole reason I was assisting the dragon in beating up the troll and the troll still killed the dragon

Is it just me or are those Giant Forstbite Spiders particularly bothersome at lower levels?

OT: I was wandering through a dungeon, or it may have been a pass, I hear something up ahead, and it turns out to be a Giant Frostbite Spider, which as I explained above, can be quite annoying to kill at a lower level (3-5). But beyond the spider was a pack of bandits whom had caught sight of me, suddenly, the pack of bandits and the spider were engaged in combat, the spider defeats them and turns to me, however, I have no trouble killing it and manage to loot some useful poison off of it as a reward.

Well the dragon essentially had no chance because:
Shadowmere can't die, the Giant did a pretty significant amount of damage to it, it was already at half health when this happened, and I was still shooting it with my bow

The most hilarious fight I had so far was somebody who was paid to assassinate me who got distracted by a cave bear that I had been fighting when they appeared.

I took screenshots because I found the idea of somebody taking out an assassination contract on a bear hilarious.

The bear won, in the end.

I just casually strolled up the steps without a care when i first did it.

Have no idea at all what people are going on about. Do they mean that snow thing that jumps down from the boulder?
You mean that was meant to be a challenge?
I just used 'flames' for a while and hit it a couple times with a sword.

I killed it in 3 hits with my axe...granted, I was going up the steps with super high heavy armor/2 handed weapons levels, so I'm finding everything easy.

Well I remember getting stopped by a thief,(Who the hells threaten a guy in steel with a shield and axe, whilst your wearing leather and a dagger) which took me completely by surprise, before I could even decide what to answer, eh was pounced upon by a random Frost Spider, and killed within a few seconds.

Yeah i like how foxes stop, look at you, then be all 'nahh' and run away.

More idiot creatures need to do that. Such as wolves. They don't even get near me when they attack, i just roast them with a fire spell and watch as their burning body lands at my feet.

Also, has anyone else had any problems killing bears?
At one point, i'd just gotten through killing 2x dragons within a few minutes walk of each other, on my way to learn a word of power.
So i'm fully healed after my encounter with the second dragon, feeling like hot shit because i just took out 2x dragons without a problem.
And then i run into a bear, which proceeds to kill me in 3 goddamn hits.
What the hell is that? Why are BEARS stronger than gigantic, armored flying creatures capable of breathing friggin fire?
A Dragon would eat a bear whole. I kill dragons without my health going low enough to make me use a potion. That should mean i kill bears and turn them into leather before lunchtime.

Also, Giants. Why, Bethesda?

At the time i was around the level 5 mark.
To be fair, i'm playing the game properly. I'm a Dunmer and i used the first level ups to buy the destruction magic upgrades, including the fire damage upgrade.

I just don't get why other people seem to be having such massive problems with the troll. I seriously had more problems killing the bears, as above, than that troll.

It's the other way round for me. Bears are dead in a few hits while trolls take forever.

Dragons are middle of the road for me, not to tough but tough enough to make them a challenge to beat, incase you were wondering.

You just can't let up when attacking trolls, as they regen pretty quickly. I'm an archer (with a dagger for backup), so I didn't have any fire spells. However, I took out the troll pretty quickly with a combination of sneak attack crits and poisons.

Also, I didn't encounter a dragon while climbing the mountain. All I did encounter was a spider, a sabretooth, a wolf, and a troll.

I think the dragon spawns are essentially random, I didn't encounter one on my trip up the steps either. As for the troll, as soon as I saw it I summoned my trusty flame atronach, then bravely shot it from a distance while they were duking it out. It did jump me at some point but it went down way before I ran out of potions.

No but a dragon had that kinda luck with me. And by luck I mean completely Anal fuck me without getting directly involved with me. I was walking by a giant camp with like 3 giants and a couple mammoths. Dragon comes out of nowhere, attacks a mammoth, making every Giant hostile and then flies the fuck away. The second the giants realized they can't do jack to the dragon they decided to take their frustrations and hostility on me.

Long story short I died a painful death. Fuck I don't know if it was a AI glich or something. But I think that dragon knew exactly what it was doing.

Also about the troll I had Lydia with me so While she was distracting I fucking ran by the troll and never looked back. Somehow she survived.

why did this post make me laugh so hard? is it because of the cruel irony of it? or is it because it makes me feel like you were trolled by a game

Just out of interest. I don't know what game you're on about but isn't this entire thread a massive spoiler?

Might want to edit the title of the thread. Also:

PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE ME TELLING ME WHAT GAME IT IS. I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW. Thanks.
