I feel special.

Singularity is super fun though, it's not life-changing, but it's incredibly solid, coherent and very fun to age people to death in an instant.

:D Oh cool, my thread is special! Thank you!

Honestly though, so far there were some great suggestions in there.

Brink was not criminally underrated, it was criminally shit. There was one game mode, and it was the same offline as it was online. It had such potential but the developers apparently forgot to push it past the demo stage.

I own three copies of the fucking thing and I don't remember buying any of them.

First game that came to mind was TimeSplitters 3.
Just a fantastic game.

Brink? Project Snowblind? I'm almost shocked that there are other people out there that like these. Especially Brink. All people seemed to do with Brink was call it terrible without actually playing it. Great game.

some games i didnt care for and some of them never came out for pc. have to check out singularity though. never got the chance to get it.
but yes, bulletstorm is just an over the top gory and hilarious shooter. i had lots of fun playing it. at least it was colourful and not just a dark, gritty serious approach as many other shooters.
also NOLF 2 is also among my favorite. such a fun game and certainly improved from part 1 on that was still good but part 2 was just much better.

Fuck yeah, Shadow Warrior!
Fuck yeah, Brink!
Fuck yeah, Singularity!
Oh, and Bulletstorm is nice too, I guess, but it has THAT DRM in it (GFWL will burn in hell).

Say, is anybody up for some coop Brink action? I'd be happy to play some tomorrow.

I would have suggested Geist, a first-person shooter only on the GameCube... Then, I realized the irony...

Other than that, was the TimeSplitters game(s) that popular?

To this day I will still say that one of the biggest reasons for Brink failing was out of the developers hands. That reason being that an entire platform that it was released on was without an internet service for a month.

Only one I'd add is Quake 4. It pretty much got shoved to the side because it came out around the same time as FEAR, but it's a solid, fast-paced, old-school shooter with great weapons, enemies, and level design.

It's a pity that Black didn't make the list, that late PS2 shooter had some of the most gobsmacking destruction physics in an FPS for it's day and pretty much everything else about the game was solid on top of that.

I lost track of how many times I played through NOLF 2. It's a shame the rights are such a mess that they can't update the game for modern systems or get a proper 3rd game made.

so true. i have played NOLF 2 so many times that i played it on every difficulty. sure had to play carefully on superspy difficulty. damn, this was thrilling.
really wish these companies can make up their minds and finally release it on steam. still have the retail version but unfortunately these games dont work well on modern systems.

Good to see Bulletstorm seeing some love. That game got shafted by gamers I find. It came out during a time where people thought it was cool to hate CliffyB games and acted like they didn't enjoy Duke Nukem or DOOM games.

I mean, I do like Brink and I think it's underrated
but I would not complain if it was replaced in the list with Prey
