A game that you just can't play.

No game in special, but overall I don't like sports games and RTS games. Don't find either the least bit of fun. I did enjoy Burnout Paradise, when we got it free for a month after PSN was back up, but not enough to keep me playing for more than a few hours.

Red Dead Redemption.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic game, with a brilliant story.
I just can't play it.

I find it so boring and dry, yet I'm not entirely sure why I feel that way towards it. Even Undead Nightmare I found to be an effort to play. And it has zombies in it!!

Its because 3/4 of the game is filler. Mexico is the longest stretch in the game, yet only 2 missions advance the story. Meanwhile, what should be the run up to some sort of finale is only the beginning of the third area.

Zelda games.

Well, I've only played twilight princess, but I hated it. I was all excited to try a zelda game for the first time, and I hated it. I forced myself to end, past all of those obtuse, illogical "puzzles", awful controls and lifeless game world right to about the 28 hour played time mark, and I still didn't like it.

I've tried to give it another chance since, but thought exactly the same thing.

GTA 4 seemed rather dull, couldn't get into it at all.

I had to really power through the beginning of that game to enjoy it.

OT: Command and Conquer. I tried it because I enjoy RTSes and I had heard that C&C is great but i couldn't get into it.

You tried the new ones (C&C4, C&C3, Red Alert 3) or the old ones (Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 1 and 2)? Cuz the old ones are kinda better. And C&C4 is barely a strategy game.


Anyways, for me it will be Minecraft, I find it unbelievably boring and i think it looks like ass, and be4 I get "blahblah graphic whore" I would like to say that I think other games like Terraria look rly rly cool, idk what is about Minecraft that annoys me.

Borderlands. I borrowed it from a friend once, got to about level 5 with a sniper, and thought, "Man, this sucks. Maybe I'm just playing the wrong class." I then reached level 5 with every other class, and just couldn't get interested. I've heard it gets better later, or that playing co-op is more fun, but I just can't be bothered to try it again.

When it first came out, I played it with a group of four people, and we had a great time in co-op. We played pretty much all day every day for most of the first week until we finished it...and then that was it. A couple of us have tried to go back now and then to do the DLC and had to start over because we'd long since lost our saves, and we pretty much ran into the exact same thing you did, especially playing alone. The beginning is particularly boring, which doesn't help. The game seems to lose a lot when you don't have a decent group of people together who are actually interested in it and enjoying themselves. Sucks most of the fun out of it.

As far as stuff I can't play, it's a tossup between the GTA games (I can't decide whether I hate the controls more in the console versions or the PC versions) and Arkham Asylum (which I'm just cranky about right now because it was on sale ridiculously cheap on Steam this week, but Steam+GFWL+SecuROM on the same game can eat a dick).

Whether it be the quality of it, moral obligation or perhaps you've played it so many times over, you can't bear yourself to do it again.

For me it has to be Dante's Inferno.
Everything just seems so wrong about it.

I was going to say Dante's Inferno before I even got to read your message. I don't really have anything against the game, I watched my brother play through most of it. I enjoy the design, but when I get to actually playing it, I get bored and can't play for more than a few minutes.
