This won't work. Ever. My theory is that [sub]VALV[/sub]e will release HL2 Ep.3 and the TF2 360 updates when Source 2.0 (or whatever) comes out.
This is a bloody stupid idea. Please stop being such adumbassN00B and buy the PC version.
EDIT: Sorry if I came off as a bit of a tosser, but, you don't need a incredibly high-end PC to run most [sub]VALV[/sub]e games. Those new Toshiba Satellite lappys run games beautifully and come with about 300[sub]GB[/sub] of memory.
While I as a "betrayed" 360 user am against this, you seem to have missed the point. Valve have never said "We're not giving the 360 users the TF2 content", and it was sais a while back that they would.
Valve completely dropped the ball on this - on not doing it. Sure, it would be a bad thing, but when a game developer admits to a mistake it makes it a bit better. However they actively ignore all 360 users who express interests in this issue - threads on Steam are locked, emails deleted. The fact that an entire userbase can be overlooked is, frankly, appalling.
Players that were promised content, no matter whether or not it gets delivered in the end, should not be left to flounder and they should not have to shell out a great deal more money to buy a new platform to play the game they've already paid for. That's a very bad way of looking at it.
Imagine, if you will, that to get access to some content in some game somewhere, You had to pay $400 and go through the long process of setting up everything and getting to grips with new and unfamiliar technology, just to get some content that was promised to you.
On Valve's part - Leaving us in the dirt was nothing short of despicable. Just give us some closure.
On your part - Players should never have to buy an entirely new platform, the most expensive one at that, just to get some content.
On my part - I too have moved on to TF2 on the PC, since I am a hybrid 360/PC gamer and it was nothing extra for me to play it but the £10 I payed for it, but I do not support this even if I sympathise. It is frustrating, since if you emailed Gabe Newell he would not respond to you, and swamping his inbox until he answers may be the only way to get him to acknowledge the problem.
Another part in the OP - the fact that the PC has been given hats. Not actual content or new gameplay changes - cosmetic, useless, pointless hats. This seems outrageous, that not only has the 360 been left in the dust at the side of the road, but the vehicle driving off is so utterly useless that it is deemed more important than an entire userbase.
Oh. I get it now.
[sub]Sorry about that guys.[/sub]
