600 dollar investment for a piece of video that has gotten him much much attention.. you can't buy publicity like thatVlane said:Why? Because those people are right?mendez said:This is really good. I love the eyes thing that looks awesome and anyone who says this is waste can go jump off a cliff.
Because those people are fanboys. And the fanboys deserve nothing but extermination.Vlane said:Why? Because those people are right?mendez said:This is really good. I love the eyes thing that looks awesome and anyone who says this is waste can go jump off a cliff.

edit: wow I'm honestly surprised that a PS3 fits into a microwave...
You behave like a fanboy right now you do know that right?mendez said:Because those people are fanboys. And the fanboys deserve nothing but extermination.Vlane said:Why? Ha ha ha. Nice.Earthbound said:Then it wouldn't be art. Why just go "half-way" when you're making art. If that requires you to light stuff on fire, then you do it. That's the only way that you're going to get some true avant-garde microwaved console centerpieces.MrGFunk said:What's messed up is:- this is a backwards compatible model. This means he's taking that away from someone that would actually wants it but has to make do with a later model and depending if it's first generation he's microwaving a PS2 as well. I can't see a point.
Couldn't he have just decorated it and have modded working PS3?
It said on the little annotations that it was 'art' so I'm thinking he applied some plastic eyes to the molten plastic and they dried into place. Looks pretty damn good though, like something from Quake. Very macabre.bad rider said:Yeah thats what i kept thinking.darktheif28 said:why did it grow eyes?
It all depends on the amount and duration I suspect. 600+ watts of 12 - 14 GHz radio signal for several minutes tends to build quite a lot of energy in most things metallic (or worse, things that have a signifcant water content as that particular freuquency range happens to match the resonance frequency of water). I suspect the simple fact that the damn thing burst into flames if nothing else would be cause enough to assume it no longer works without having to theorize about anything else that could have gone wrong. Wondering about the potential damage to sensitive electronics through high input of EF energy in this case is a bit like worrying about water damage in a catastrophic house fire.Indigo_Dingo said:I'm not sure, but going out on a limb, I'm pretty sure there aren't a lot of metal-laced electronic devices that are commercially available that will work after being bathed in microwave energy.
Yeah, I know. That microwave looks pretty dangerous. He should get a new one before he burns his next thing.MaxTheReaper said:Awh man...poor dude probably got cancer from that.
Someone tried, it caught fire and broke the microwave.darktheif28 said:so does that mean if you did that to a 360 it would start to look like soul calibur, and does that mean we can have an epic battle?SuperMse said:It looks like Soul Edgedarktheif28 said:why did it grow eyes?
