Sure, lets do this

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
WEll, I'm in college now, so i cant spend as much as I would like since I dont have the console up here, but when I am home around my consoles, I spend... mmm.... maybe 7-9 hrs on days non of my friends are doing anyhting outside, 3-4 if they are doing something or I am. So...26-34 hours usually a week. Maybe 30-40 if i include hand helds, but those are played as consistently.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
Including handhelds? Some people consider them that, so I'll list it:
PS3
GameCube
Nintendo DS Lite
Laptop PC gaming, but mostly for emulator stuff.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console. Hate the price for PCs and the unfriendliness of the users on new players.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
RPG. Simply cause you can incorporate it into pretty much any game and it still works. and if executed correctly, its a great game immersion device for games and can make or break the game.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
oh.... bout... maybe $200-$300 a year (including new and old releases, thats like... 8 games.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Oh physical for sure. But then agin, I've always been that kinda way. I like have the copy on hand at any time and can take to a friend's house. I'm like that with Music and Cds too.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
I think its more dependent on whether the first game was good. I'm always willing to try the unknown, mainly cause cult classics are awesome when you make jokes. And usually unknowns can be diamonds in the rough. Or Crap. Loads and loads of it.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
I love games that try to challenge me, as long as the ramp into it is still manageable (Halo Reach max difficulty).

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
Too many :p Depending on how much work Ive got anywhere from 6 to 30+

2. Which Console(s) do you own?

God how far back do I go?
NES
sega master system II
PS1
PS2
Dream-cast
N64
Game Cube
Xbox

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?

PC, less dross generally.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)

RPG and FPS. Both can work with MMO

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?

I refuse to pay over £30. Why I own none of the current gen consoles.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?

Physical

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?

Not in-particularly. Franchises are well known to become gimmicky. See Halo's console only RTS and Nintendo's entire back catalogue.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?

Hell yes. A hard game, providing its something that sucks you in, see halo 1, portal, wow arena, CoD4, most bond games. They all feel far more rewarding on the hardest difficulty and when achieving the highest rank.

PS2, Original Xbox, PS3, PC (if that's considered a console)

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
PC

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
RTS

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
$20-$30 (Try to get them on Steam sales, and I rarely buy new games)

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Digital distribution

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
Sequels if I liked the original

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
At the bare minimum, about 10 hours. Maximum, 40 hours

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
I own a Nintendo 64, and a Wii. (not to mention every generation of gameboy from the original Gameboy to the DSi)

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
I prefer console gaming because I do not own a PC capable or able to game on.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
A tie between RPG and second player shooting.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Edit: I would never spend or $45. 40 is pushing it and it better be really good for that price.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical copies. I don't trust something I can't hold on to. (video game wise)

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
Nope. If I don't know how to play pr what the plot is then I'm not getting it. I'll buy the first one then buy its sequel.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Who doesn't? No challenge no point. But I don't want something so challenging that I get stuck and have to find a walkthrough to finish it.

1. I'd say around 10-12 hours.

2. Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, gaming PC.

3. PC gaming, I rarely use the 360, but the PS3 sees a significant amount of use.

4. Hard choice really, probably a tie between FPS and RPG.

5. If I want the game and it's around £40, I'll buy it.

6. Physical copies, mainly because my internet connection is complete wank and it has been known to take about 6 to 7 hours to download a 4 gig game off Steam.

7. Possibly, though I do keep an eye out for new franchises that look genuinely good, I mean...Vanquish is quite possibly the best game I've played all year.

8. I do, games that are a complete walk in the park are utterly boring to me.

I'll play.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games

Honestly, I have no idea

2. Which Console(s) do you own?

PS3, PC, DS, Wii, SNES, GBA

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?

As long as the game is fun, I don't really give a toss, but if forced to pick, I'd say console

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)

Usually action/adventure, but I'm also fond of RPG's (WRPG's or JRPG's)

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?

Eh, around $35 or so. I wait til the prices go down or someone gets me a gift card

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?

Physical, but I have no problem with digital copies

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?

Let me put it this way...If it looks good, I'll play it

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?

Yes.

Alright then, I'll give it a try:

1. 30-40 at the moment (partially because I'm on break now)

2. PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Gamecube, N64, Super Nintendo, Xbox, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Nintendo DS, PSP, and a broken Nintendo Wii

3. PC

4. Good (I don't really have a favorite)

5. $10-$30, I usually buy old or on-sale stuff.

6. I weakly prefer physical copies over digital ones.

7. No (Typo: You ought to replace "be sequels to game" with "buy sequels to games")

8. Immensely

Now then, where be me cookie?

1. 30-40

2. PS2 (technically that was stolen) and PC

3. I would prefer PC if I had a computer that could run the newer games

4. RPG

5. I try to get new which is 50-60

6. Physical. Much easier to get new computers or if the harddrive crashes.

7. I usually get reviews of the games before buying anyway. So I am equally likely to do either.

8. Depends on how they try to challenge me more than anything.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
Around ten a week during the school semester, more like 50 a week on my breaks.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii. I've been trying to get a PS2 for years now, but I'm always broke so I can't :p

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console gaming, for practical reasons. I actually enjoy PC gaming more, but so few games come out for Linux that I really don't get to play a lot of the PC versions of games.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
Survival Horror.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Depends on the game. Umm ... anywhere between $0 and $60 I guess :p

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Digital, as long as it's (a) easy to burn onto a disc so I can back it up, or (b) easy to download again without paying a second time (like Steam games), in case something happens to my copy. If neither of those options exist, I would rather buy physical.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
No, I almost never buy sequels. I used to, but not anymore.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Yes, much more than games that don't.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games?
Probably...10-15.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
PS3, XBox 360

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console. I don't like using the keyboard for gaming AT ALL.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
RPG, probably. Fable, Elder Scrolls, that kinda thing.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
To be perfectly honest, I usually download them. However, I HAVE bought games before, but wouldn't spend much more than about £40. And that's on a game that I reeeeeally want.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Digital. MUCH easier to keep track of than a gazillion discs.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
Not really, I'm probably equally as likely to do either.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Mentally, like puzzles? I don't mind those kinds of games. I play these kinds of games on my iTouch.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games?
15-20.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PSP, DS (original). I did have a Wii but I trqaded it in for a Kinect and some games.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
FPS.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Single-player: Depends how long it takes to finish it - typically less than 8-10 hours spread over a few days, but I've invested about 15 hours into Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and I'm working towards 100% completion after finishing the story mode. I spent about 30 hours on Mass Effect, maybe 15 on Mass Effect 2. I spent over 100 hours in Fallout 3, I was up to 25 hours on New Vegas before it glitched out and I ragequit until it gets patched - I probably still have 10 hours of gamepaly left on my current game.
Multiplayer can hugely increase the longevity - I played Halo 3 almost daily for about 2 and a half years, Modern Warfare 2 almost daily for about 9 months, and I presently play Halo: Reach almost every day.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
Yes, absolutely. I almost always buy sequels for games I enjoyed because I enjoy following the continuing stories. I will buy new IPs, but usually only if they really look amazing in trailers/reviews or implement interesting new ideas.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Yyyyyes, but not with frustrating gameplay. Make me think, throw in some puzzles, give me a change to outwit the enemy.
Having me walk into a hail of bullets over and over again until I get it right through trial and error, or give me a challenge that's only difficult because the game mechanic involved is unfair or unreasonable, I will just ragequit.

Well hey there Escapist.

I'm currently enrolled in a two year course on the subject of Video Game Production. As part of my Research coursework i've been asked to get people to fill out questionnaires, this however would require me standing on a freezing street corner making a fool of myself. So i plead to you Escapist, spare a moment of your time and keep me off the streets. You know it's safer that way.

-um, alot? like more than a work week :p unemployed, waiting to be shipped out to basic, in the spring, and i do spent alot of time dedicated to martial arts, but still i'd say about 50h~ a week?

-n64, ps1.

-pc definately :p my n64 and ps1 are for awsome old non pc games, and nostalgia.

-um....rpg i'd have to say, not mmo, but rpg-rpg. i am a big fan of fps and racing games, platforming aswell, but definately rpg.

-price? when i DO buy a game, like 20-30 average, if it's REALLY good, or i REALLY want it, full price :p

-i'm impartial to digital or physical.

-again, i'm partial to sequals or new serieses.

-i LOVE games that challange me, aslong as the challange is a real one, not an arbitrairily made one, or an annoyance labled as a challange. so hard to find an ACTUAL challange these days -_-

5. $20

6. Physical

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
I'd say on average 15 or so, but that skyrockets when I get my hands on a game that really excites me.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
For the current gen, I only have an Xbox 360 though I had a Wii as well. Previous gens, I've owned almost every console to come out in North America starting with the NES.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console, more for the style of games and lack of need to worry about tinkering and upgrading than anything else.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
RPG, but I will play almost anything as long as it's good.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Depends. I'm cheap and don't have unlimited funds so I tend to be very picky about what I actually buy, but if something really interests me I will not hesitate to spend full price on it. Generally though, I'd say I'm more of a bargain hunter than a buy the extra expensive edition new on day one guy.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical by a landslide.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
I tend to study games I'm interested in fairly closely prior to release, so I usually know a decent bit about both the new properties and the continued ones. If it sounds and looks good to me, I'm likely to at least try it.. but I suppose I would say I tend to be more partial to continuations of something I know I really like if only because my budget and gaming time are not unlimited and choices have to be made.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Absolutely. I'm over games that BS you with NES style difficulty, but I do find that intelligently designed challenge is often what makes a game stand out to me. While I wouldn't say there is no game if there is no challenge, I would say without challenge games do lack that special spark and excitement that makes a game into a good game.

1. Maybe 20-30 per school week, up to 70 per holiday week.
2. PC, XBox 360, XBox, Wii and DS.
3. I prefer PC, but I play more console because I'm loving Black Ops.
4. Either RPG's like Morrowind or a stealth FPS like Hitman.
5. I don't spend anything because my brother buys them all for us discount (he gets discounts at work)
6. Physical, because all the DigiDist games I have don't work (damn Intel GMA 950 processor)
7. Yes, because if the prequel was good, and by the same developer, then I'll have hope for the sequel.
8. Yes, but if they're TOO challenging, then I can't stand them.
