1. About 40 or so.

2. I have a PC, Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, DS, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, and although I don't have a Wii, I do emulate it on my PC.

3. I do prefer my Pc, but you really can't beat the price for the hardware on the consoles.

4. I mostly go for FPSs but I do also love puzzelers and RPGs.

5. Since I buy most of my games for the PC (mostly through Steam), they usually cost $5 to $40.

6. I do like to have hard copys of my games (I think over half of my games are hard copys), but Steam does have the best deals (Mass Effect for $5).

7. I really try to buy new IPs as much as possible.

8. Yes, very much.

1. 20-30

2. PS3, Wii, PC, PS2, PS1

3. Console. I dont have to worry so much about my equipment when I play console.

4. RPG, as vague as that is. But really ill play anything

5. 70 NZD

6. Physical Copies. My internet plan is $2/GB, so i have to add that to the digital distribution cost.

7. Unkonown franchises, especially new ones. Sequels tend to get repeatatvie after a while, but new franchises are always refreshing, if i dont have to back-track through 5 installments of prequel story to understand whats going on

8. Yes, otherwise its mindlessly pressing buttons.

I should add, your demographicis going to be rather limited.

3. Tie because I still really like to play strategy games.
4. RPG
5. New: $60+tax, used: depends on what it's sold for and what I think it's worth.
6. Physical copy
7. Tie
8. Yes

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games?
Eh, tough one. I'd guess around 10 hours, maybe a little less, maybe a little more.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
PC, Xbox, Xbox 360, Ps1, Ps2, GBA

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console, though it's a very close race.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
"Shooters" in general, whether they be FPS or TPS, with a very close second being RPGs

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
I buy used when I can, though I still buy the occasional new game, so I'd put the average around $40 US.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
eh, digital, I suppose. Disc-swapping gets old.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
without a doubt.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Yes and no. Challenge me all you want, but don't annoy me. Give the the ability to select the difficulty, and for the love of god, GOOD checkpoints, or just give me a quicksave. If I have to start a level over because the boss at the end killed me, that is the WRONG way to punish a player, dammit.

I'll expect that cookie within the week, sir. You can keep the mittens.

Interesting....

1. Usually about 2-3 hours a day, plus a bit on the weekend... So... 21 hours a week, give or take.

2. Xbox 360 PS3, Gamecube, Xbox, and N64.

3. Complicated! Different genres for different systems... But I'll say console, simply because I prefer to play more genres on them than the PC.

4. RPG, for sure.

5. Northwards of 20 hours. Less for shooters, more for action-adventure games (such as Assassin's Creed), and much more for RPGs.

6. Physical. Don't know why.

7. Perhaps... I'll just say yes.

8. Very much so, yes. As long as I'm being challenged, not frustrated.

3.Console.

4.FPS baby!

5.£30-£50 usually, I like it new.

6.Physical. No problems with digital though.

7.Yes but if it looks good and I'm interested I'd probably buy into a different franchise.

8.Sure.

1. Probably about 10 hours per week

2. I own a PSP but do most of my gaming on my PCs (or the BlackBerry)

3. PC for most genres.

4. FPS and RPGs

5. £15-20 (about US$20-30)

6. Physical copies. I didn't get into buying music digitally because of DRM so the same applies.

7. I'll try either.

8. Yes.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games

I'm not sure probably 20-40

2. Which Console(s) do you own?

xbox, 360, wii, n64, gamecube, ps2, and most importantly the PC

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?

both for different reasons

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)

rpg

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?

depends on the game and how good it is, it can range from 5 or 7 a linear shooter and 80+ hours for games like fallout and elder scrolls

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?

physical copies

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?

sometimes though I can get into a series like fallout or call of duty without playing earlier games in the series

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?

YES, PLEASE GOD YES! To be a bit more specific I enjoy games that put challenges into the game that aren't necessarily required to complete the game but gives you a bonus or reward for completing it.

1. ~4-5.

2. PC; used to own a 360 but it RROD'd me a year back or so and was out of warrantee. Didn't play it much at that point anyways though.

3. PC gaming.

4. Dunno. I like FPS games and RPG games a lot, and whatever Phantom Dust is.

5. ~$30-35 US, averaging cheaper $20 games and the occasional newer $60.

6. Physical. Just like with my music.

7. Yeah. If I really liked a game or know a franchise/series has historically been good, I have faith they'll continue to make good/worthwhile games. Cases in point: Halo, Elder Scrolls.

8. Yes, as long as the challenge is feasibly beatable and is interspersed with the occasional easier segment.

I imagine this would be the first place I would turn to if I needed questionnaires filled out, so I'm happy to help.

1. 10-25, depends on the college work, but usually around 15.

2. PS2, Wii, 360, DS, and PSP.

3. Console Gaming.

4. RPG.

5. $30, I try to wait for price drops

6. Physical copies, I just like to keep my disk case full.

7. I'm just as likely to buy into a new series as a known series. If a game interests me, I'll try it, having played other games in the series is irrelevant.

8. I would like a game to be challenging enough to be fun. A game I breeze through isn't worth the time.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games

Too much time. Probably around 40+ hours a week.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?

Let's see. A PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP and a PS2. Oh, and a PC if that counts.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?

Console gaming simply because of how many of my games are on consoles.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)

I generally play any genra that will interest me but... Action Adventure seem to pop up the most in my collection.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?

Up to $70.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?

I prefer having the physical copies, but I'm not against digital distribution. A couple of my PC games are right off of Steam.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?

Yes if I liked the original game simply because I'm more familiar with the material.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?

Yes, but I enjoy those with an excellent story and engaging, fun gameplay a heck of a lot more.

I prefer my cookies in peanut butter flavour or of the soft gingerbread variety please. Oh and make those mittens extra warm for Canadian winters.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games

10-25, most likely.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?

Current Gen: PS3, Xbox 360. Formerly owned a Wii, if it counts.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?

Console.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)

Does sandbox count as a genre? If not, probably RPG.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?

30-40 average.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?

Physical. I'm not ready to sign what's left of my consumer rights away for a sweet deal.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?

I think I'm about as likely to buy sequels as I am new franchises.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?

As long as the challenge encourages me to grow, rather than punishing me, yeah. I'd rather earn my victories, in real life and in entertainment.

1. 20-30

2. PC and Wii

3. PC Gaming FTW!

4. RPG, with Action/Adventures in 2nd and FPS in 3rd

5. For big titles, I'll usually pay full, launch-day price. Otherwise I like to get games on sale on Steam.

6. I've never seen the appeal of having a physical copy. Digital is so much more convenient (esp. since I don't have a car), and with Steam I'm not worried about getting screwed over either.

7. I don't judge. If it's a good series, I'll likely buy a sequel if it's up to par with the other games. If it's a new IP, I'll read reviews, and if it sounds worth my money, then I'll get that too.

8. Yes, but it's a fine line to walk between challenging and frustrating. I also don't mind if a game isn't challenging either, so long as I'm having fun, it doesn't really matter. Challenge can be a part of that fun if done right though.

Happy to help.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
Between 30 and 40, although that's dropped to about 20-30 now that I'm working again.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
PC and Xbox 360

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
I prefer PC gaming, but I find that console gaming is more convenient, and Xbox Live has better online than PC.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
FPS and Western RPGs.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Usually about 35-50, although I've spent 80-100 to preorder Black Ops and New Vegas.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical copies. Although they're harder to replace, I love going out to the store, paying for a game, carrying it home in its bag, reading the manual, putting in the disk, etc, etc.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
It's about even for me. I usually rent games before buying them, so it's rarely an issue for me.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Depends. Sometimes I want a challenge (S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Call Of Duty on Veteran), and sometimes I just want mindless, fast, fun action (L4D, Mirror's Edge, Call of Duty on an easier difficulty).

*awaits cookie with great anticipation*

1. 20 hours. I'm a freshman in college with a lot of freetime.

2. Nes,Snes,N64,Sega Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS Lite, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Laptop.

3. Console Gaming

4. Side-Scrolling, Rpg, Arcade, Fighting, Platformer, Adventure, Hack 'n Slash (any combination of those mentioned)

5. 20-30 dollars used

6. Physical Copies. Never paid for digital distribution

7. Most likely.

8. Yes. Because I've been playing video games since the age of 4, I've kinda developed some kind of "instinct" when playing games so I need some kind of challenge every now and then.
