Whats the problem with pre-essembled computers
ONE BIG MISTAKE: you do NOT want to stick with the on-board audio!

I have found that when playing games on a stock PC, the biggest bottle neck and performance killer all around is the on-board audio! Upgrading even to a CHEAP Soundblaster will take a great deal of stress off of your CPU and RAM, and will smooth out gameplay IMMENSELY! I have the Audigy XtremeGamer and I highly recommend it, but the XtremeAudio or even the Audigy SG would be a big improvement over the on-board sound!

I'm not familiar with Radeon graphix cards, so that I can't help you with. Everything else looks acceptable.

If you want to spend $500 on a gaming PC, get that. I'd recommend spending a bit more on a bigger hard drive, but besides that, this machine will perform a lot better.
Sure you could go for a faster processor too, but as you'll find the graphics card matter so much more for game performance.
