I am a rather flamboyant individual myself, couple this with my enjoyment of deviating from the norm (read: random), I have a tendency to do the quote on quote, "gay" things a fair amount of time. It is especially humorous because for whatever reason girls always fancy playing with my hair. Frankly I have nary a qualm with anyone believing I am gay; to be fair I borderline so close to bi on my occasions I cannot fault them. People nowadays are too hung up on social acceptance and doing the "proper" thing.

That said, were I a girl, I would not appreciate other girls grabbing my breasts at random for giggles. Just as I would offer strange glances if some guy patted my crotch now. Although my response would be less a beat down and more a "oooh, trying to get me all hot and bothered. How forward of you~" And yes, I would have a mock accent.

See? I borderline, I really do. Life is much less stressful when you do not take anything seriously unless a necessity.

While we never went so far as to grab each others breasts, I attended an all girl Catholic high school and it was always entertaining to freak out the nuns and closed-minded students with pseudo-lesbian activities.

Even now, if I'm around someone who is closed minded, my friends and I may do something to make them uncomfortable.

I've seen a lot more bi-sexual or bi-curious girls than boys.

Well, I should say, more *openly* bi.

The boys tend to do it for attention.

The girls...

Use your imagination.

Is it true that girls are more open minded than guys? I was having a conversation with a ladyfriend and she was telling me how girls like to grab each others chest and make out just for the hell of it. And I asked, "Doesn't that make you gay?" and she told me, "No its just that girls are just more playful than guys and are more open minded."

And I have seen that first hand, back in high school the girls that I knew were always chasing each other trying to grab each others chest and would give each other a good morning kiss or a goodbye kiss.

So I'm just wondering if all girls are like that or if its just where I live?

Edit:BTW I asked those girls if they do it for attention which they replied, "No we don't care what people think of us, we just do it cuz its fun."

I know guys that try to grab balls and yell, 'nut tappas' while they do it. I think it's just immature people being immature. The kissing, unless it's on the cheek which is quite common in some cultures/areas, is an attention-thing....and as to your edit...that screams, 'we do it for attention,' but that's just my experience with people who say that they don't do something for attention(especially teens).

Hmm, its intersting to hear some equate an overtly masculine guy as more likely to be less touchy-feely with his fellow man. In my experience these guys seem to be the more comfortable with physical displays of affection with their friends.

I mean, playing Rugby, there is soo much aggression on the pitch that it simply cant be sustained off the pitch. Its often the case the that many women i know, who dont get the same opportunity to vent testosterone, are more closed minded to that sort of behaviour.

Case in point; While playing a cup semi-final a few weeks ago, as a team mate scored the winning try(equivalent "Touchdown" to those unaware), i ran 20 meters and planted a kiss square on that lovely laddies lips.

Call it gay if you like but i was so elated at that point, that the connatations had no bearing my action...twas just natural. And the showers after that game contained more camp antics than a Will & Grace box set.

Scientifically, yes.

It's called sexual plasticity. Basically, heterosexual women are more likely to be (essentially) at least partially bisexual. They respond with arousal to both male and female erotic stimuli.

No other gender/orientation does this. Homosexual women only respond to female erotic stimuli, homosexual males only to male stimuli, and heterosexual males only to female stimuli.

I'm going to avoid any sort of prurient interest here.

I'm one of those girls, but hey, I like girls in that very special way. Making out in front of everyone is something I wouldn't even do with my partner, though. That's just inappropriate. Imo. Nothing wrong with a playful little kiss, hug or.. grope.

Silly attention grabbing stuff veering towards odd sexual displays is not the domain of women only.

Back when I was in uni, my circle of friends and acquaintances would pretty much try to "gay off" each other; throwing free handslappings against other dude's crotches, slapping their butts -- almost like a hit, and they'd srprise each other by suddenly pinching their nipples (not their own, but to another dudes). They'd even pull their crap on the gay guy (another friend) until he finally told them to quit their annoying meddling.

Thankfully they never got around to trying to pull that shit on a few of us, but I guess it was because our reactions were just no fun and I at least explicitly told one of them it was annoying.

After that they pretty much kept their stupid hazings to themselves. It looked...painful, but those guys kept a grin throughout the whole time, sore bodyparts and all. In hindsight, I think one of them might have been gay, though that hardly had anything to do with it. They were just attention grabbing douches at times.

Ah, odd memories!

The kissing is an attention thing, don't let them tell you otherwise. Guys generally find the idea of lesbians more attractive so girls do it to feel sexy more often than not. Guys kissing is just 'gay' but if they thought it would get them chicks and not lose them street cred I'm sure they'd do it too :p

At my school, girls who are just friends hold hands and link arms. It just started happening this year. I don't exactly get it, but to each their own. Girls also sit on each other's laps. For certain groups of friends, the guys will be touchy feely with every girl, and the girls will be touchy feely with every guy. But, I've never seen two guys holding hands/linking arms. If guys do any of this at all, it's with a girl.

Nobody thinks anything of it, except conservative teachers who will make anyone stop holding hands/ hugging, etc, be they males or females.

I've never seen two girls make out just for fun, but certain girls at my school are very playful with each other. No guys that I've seen are like that.

Most of the girls I know just do it to either get us guys to do a spit-take/double-take or they're lesbians.
