Is it true that girls are more open minded than guys? I was having a conversation with a ladyfriend and she was telling me how girls like to grab each others chest and make out just for the hell of it. And I asked, "Doesn't that make you gay?" and she told me, "No its just that girls are just more playful than guys and are more open minded."

And I have seen that first hand, back in high school the girls that I knew were always chasing each other trying to grab each others chest and would give each other a good morning kiss or a goodbye kiss.

So I'm just wondering if all girls are like that or if its just where I live?

Edit:BTW I asked those girls if they do it for attention which they replied, "No we don't care what people think of us, we just do it cuz its fun."

Short answer: there's no rule that's true for everyone.
And in my case, hell no. My friends and I are liberal hug-givers, but that's the extent.

You can't generalise people never mind a whole gender. I know theres guys just as open minded as some girls and theres girls that are really close minded.

So, kinda like how it's completely heterosexual for a guy to jerk off another guy, as long as one of them says "not gay" afterwards?

Sounds great. But I've never seen anything like that (xept the lesbiens I know). As for being openminded, that's a completely different door you're opening there. There's a difference between sexual openness and being generally open minded.

Hmm... I'd have to say that I haven't encountered anything that... flamboyant in my area. Though I would say girls are more comfortable physically around each other than guys (in my experience, I'm a guy, mind you) but I know a lot of people that are fine with joking about their own sexuality and such.

And I find that there's a pretty equal mix of closed and open minded people.

I've always believed that deep down, all women are at least a tiny bit bisexual.

Of course, I also believe that one day, when robotics have been mastered, women will rule the Earth, replacing men with Terminators programed for love making (and house hold choirs). Sperm will be harvested from sperm banks until a time when asexual reproduction has been mastered.

So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I've seen the same thing at my high school was pretty normal for girls. As for more open minded I'm not so sure its considered acceptable for women to be more playful so they have no fear of becoming an outcast. If guys were to start giving hugs at school(or at least mine) they would become an outcast and often homo-sexual males were mugged after school.

Its a double standard and fear of emotional and physical abuse has driven me to uneasy feeling if I do anything past a hand shake.

It all depends on where and how people are raised, where I live which is a heavily church oriented community that behavior, especially between two girls does not exist.

So being open minded was what I was missing when it came to making out and molesting whoever I wanted...

Being a girl, I've never met another who would just ran up and grab my tits and kiss me (drunk or not--though I assume them being drunk makes it more likely to happen to anyone). To me, it sounds like girlfriend either likes to exaggerate truths of her gender/sex, or she and her friends are huge attention whores and trying to make that fact sound okay with excuses.

I don't really think when two girls kiss in public that they are more open minded. They probably just want more attention on themselves unless they are actually lesbians.

I dunno, guys can be pretty "gay" too. Maybe no kissing but I have seen punches to the nuts and ass grabbing from straight guys, plus if you ever been in a locker room for a sport it can get pretty weird in there. The Military is surprising open with gay comments sometimes, then again when you knee to knee someone will taking a crap you probably are little more open with said people.

We like making fun of each other. It has little to do with homosexual acceptance.

Its just funny.

I know I was in the Military but its just to prove a point that everyone jokes about stuff like that sometimes.

I have male friends and female friends who feel that sexually harassing your closest friends is one of the greatest forms of entertainment.. i think if you lived in the deep south of texas or something along those lines things would be different lol

The reason I stopped going out to clubs and bars to meet girls is exactly this. I see girls making out and I think, YAY! Lesbians for me to chat up. And then I go up to them, all confident becuase I'm not going to get a 'teehee we're straight' and I get a 'teehee we're straight and we do this to get more boys to buy us drinks'.

Well screw you teases, stay out of my clubs! Except it's gotten so much worse.

So now I pretty much just hang out with the Roller Derby girls at one or two bars. They never pull that 'teehee we're straight' crap. And they are a hell of a lot more interesting to talk to, what with appreciating my bloodthirstiness.

Sorry about the rant, it's just super hard for lesbians to go to clubs and figure out which girl is open to a chat up, and it's gotten so much harder now since a lot of straight girls think that 'playing gay' is a great way for them to get attention, drinks and guys. I guess the reason they do that is also because guys usually buy girls drinks while they try to chat up as well, but it doesn't work in reverse.

Yeah, I've noticed girls are a lot more ..flexible.. with their sexuality, at least in the media. Thats not to say guys arn't as well. The amount of gay jokes and drunken gropes me and my friends do is pretty high, not to mention how two of my friend at uni act. "Yabba, I want to be inside you" *embrace*

Just because I can comfortably cup my friends junk doesn't make me gay.
