Nope. I just use it as an excuse to buy something ridiculous for myself, like an over priced game that I can afford, or something. Last year, I got a factory sealed copy of Valkyrie Profile, which normally can cost up to $300, for just $60. I think it was the best gift I ever gave myself. Other than that, it's just a day a few people give me cards and stuff.

Also, happy birthday, OP.

My next birthday will give me drinking privileges, so I look forward to those. Also, happy birthday.

While I was growing up I hardly got anything for my Birthday, thats because it is just after Christmas on January 5. So I became used to dispointment on my Birthday. Every one was too worn out by Christmas to give a shit.

People offer more sexual favors on my birthday than normal (normal is zero). I like my birthday. I never really want gifts and cash just seems like a shitty fallback.

No happy birthday wish for you, Sir Grumpington.

I merely forget my birthday is on its way, but I still enjoy them. I mean, hey, it's more individual than Christmas (if you're into sick shit like that), and it's a constant in your life, rather than achievements. And presents dear boy!

Actually no, this isn't really a rant, and I am not seeking attention because I'm depressed or anything.

Well although today is my birthday I didn't look forward to it at all. It has been like this for years now but I am still not sure how.

I was never one of those people who looked forward to their birthdays because they were going to have or receive something fun and thoughtful. Instead I am one of those cynical types who simply think of it as any other day and if something good does occur, well at least it will be mildly pleasant instead of a disappointment.

To put it simply, the more cynical I am of my birthday, the less disappointed I will feel.

So, did anyone else feel this way on their last birthday? Is anyone feeling this way about their upcoming birthday?

P.S. Since it's inevitable that people will tell me happy birthday anyway thank you all :].
Ive never done anything on my birthday for me, others planned something once. But i doubt it will happen again since that persons out of my life. I dont really mind. Its a day, i get some money but i never feel like i do cus its always in cheques. I look at my birthday mildly positively but like i said i dont really care about it. Its just a day. I dont mind the occasional happy birthday though, always welcome.

Happy birthday btw :D

Happy Birthday?

I like Birthdays as they provide an excuse for a party. Which in turn is an excuse for Drinking and getting high.

Well last birthday I didn't really care about, but with the school announcing birthdays I was congratulated by my entire homeroom, and pretty much every other class I was in throughout the day.
But hey you always get free stuff and that's always a plus.

Well when I have my birthday my family goes to my favourite resturant. No special parties or anything. Thats how it's been since I was like 10, but it's cool, I don't expect much, and the food is good.
