Other than the fact that I couldn't live through the embarrassment of having that played loudly, that's exactly what I'm looking for!Greyfox105 said:This is a song to wake up to:
Well, if I had an alarm clock, and one that could play music, I dunno. Probably this, but it would never go off.I'm going to keep posting it until someone has a mental breakdown or something.

Sorry, as this is an instrumental band, discovering the actual name of the song is pretty difficult. But Godspeed You Black Emperor has the best already-out-of-bed get-ready song ever. To actually get your ass out of bed, I'd recommend a John Frusciante guitar solo from just about any Mars Volta work, esp. the second solo in "L'via L'viaquez." A combination of the 2 will get your ass on your way and feeling good about it, unless you hate that rock n' roll rubbish, in which case I'm afraid it's here to stay, Fred.Nimbus said:Recently, I decided to change my alarm clock, as the shrill beeping of the old one made me want to tear my ears off. I decided to use my iPod's alarm feature. I started off by setting it to play the Final Fantasy 7 remastered boss fight tune (Still More Fighting) at 8 every morning. I thought I would wake up ready to take on the world. Instead, I woke up angry, confused, in a panic, and worried that I haven't saved.
For now I'm going to try using the Nico Nico Douga medley (orchestral version), but I don't think that will work very well either.
So here's the discussion: What alarm clock do use? Do you wake up with a song? What song do you use? How's it working for you? What would you recommend to use?
Hell yeah man. I hate to admit it, but I love that cd.DuplicateValue said:I use Shake It by Metro Station. It's a good start to the day.

Napalm Death? Fuck yeah.Furburt said:If I did, it would be this song.

And you're fucking awesome as well.Neonbob said:I love waking up to metal.
Tell me that wouldn't shock your ass right out of bed.
Huh. I've been using the exact same song...Cpt_Oblivious said:Recently I've been using Mr. Blue Sky by ELectric Light Orchestra.
Tried that a few times, it definetely got me out of bed I'll tell you...Furburt said:If I did, it would be this song.

If you wanna wake up fresh and invigorated, surely Beautiful Day by U2 takes some beating?Nimbus said:Recently, I decided to change my alarm clock, as the shrill beeping of the old one made me want to tear my ears off.
