Eh, I'm not saying anything bad about other forums necessarily, I've just found that where other forums say "X sucks, y is better, you're an idioto" Escapists tend to say "X wasn't that great, here's why, and while I'm at it I'll recommend Y because I liked it better for these reasons, but you're entitled to your opinion." I know there's really no reason for you all to care, but I wanted to thank all you Escapists. My forum career is admittedly pretty short, but I've been involved in a few, and none have been as great as this one. Sure, I've had my arguments here and there, but nothing so bad as to make me consider leaving or anything: overall, it's been a fantastic experience.
The Escapist community is easily the most intelligent online group I've had the fortune of coming across. You guys have renewed my enjoyment of the internet and made for a great place for me to spend all the time I should be spending on schoolwork. I'll let you know if I still appreciate you once finals are done.
All that to say, thank you all. It's been a great run, and I look forward to many more posts with you guys.

And since the topic of how good the Escapist is came up, I'd say that while we're not some bastion and certainly have bad users (yes, I have certain people in mind) and tendencies (what do you guys think about the death penalty for Stephanie Meyer via Halo playing zombies? Also insert anime/JRPG/Japan in general bashing), overall we're a pretty nice community.

I never even noticed when I went gonzo. I think it happened during a RP.........or possibly in forum games. I spent my last two hundred or so posts there mostly.
