This is going to sound callous and mean, but i really couldn't care less about the deaths of two goths in england. Yes, it's sad that they died (and fucking stupid) because of the way they dressed, yes, this probrably caused much grief to the family. But ask yourself, what does that mean to YOU? Why should it matter to ME? It doesn't. They weren't the victims of mass genocide, they didn't have any terminal preventable diseases, it was merely a random act of evil, the kind that happen every day.
You want to know what's really sad? I'll tell you, 200,000 people died in darfur and nearly 4 million are still in desperate need of aid and assistance. THAT is truly sad. 200,000 dead is a blemish upon the world, and a dirty mirror reflecting our own hideousness back at us. 2 dead goths? Merely a tale of some ridiculous manchild hating what he does not understand. This is something that while somewhat tragic, is small in comparison to the grand scheme of things, if you're not a friend or direct family member, why concern yourself with this, when there are things out there that are far MORE tragic, and have a geniune impact on the world scene? Crisis in sudan? AIDS? These are what you should be concerned about, and raising awareness for.
