That might also have something to do with how crappy the interface for XBL is.
And their currency is stupid. Really really stupid.

You'd be surprised, a lot of PC gamers hate Steam because of the DRM.damse said:Doesnt Supprise me in the slightest since pretty much 90% of all pc gamers use steam if not 100%
I know this is an aside to the thread, but as a many year long tf2 player I'm not sure I'm seeing the connection between Zeboyd's brilliant games here and tf2. Are there promo items that have somehow flown under my radar for the games? The Random One said:If it wasn't for CStW and BoLVII I probably wouldn't have bothered with the premium TF2 items.
It's possible he put money on his steam wallet and had some left over and decided to spend that on some premium items.Hiphophippo said:I know this is an aside to the thread, but as a many year long tf2 player I'm not sure I'm seeing the connection between Zeboyd's brilliant games here and tf2. Oh. You're likely right. Long day at work, didn't even notice that likelyhood.Scizophrenic Llama said:It's possible he put money on his steam wallet and had some left over and decided to spend that on some premium items.Hiphophippo said:I know this is an aside to the thread, but as a many year long tf2 player I'm not sure I'm seeing the connection between Zeboyd's brilliant games here and tf2. Yeah, your rant would have made sense if the games in question didn't cost $1 and $3 on Xbox Live as was pointed out in this article. How much lower would you like the price on them to be exactly?XT inc said:I am not surprised, the bundle on steam was quite a bit cheaper than the Xbox ports.
People like steam.
It gives us games a prices that are reflective of a product we cant trade out or resell(and then some savings for the fun of it)
Xbox on the other hand has taken a firm stance on selling games at the same price, or even higher than retail stores, because they don't price match.
Their stance is, we save you taking a shower, wiping the cheeto dust off your flabby ghoulish form and asking your mom to drive your 40 year old ass to the store, where you ask for an advance on your Allowance, as your hand shakes to pay the cute girl behind the counter, for you to go home and snuggle your love pillow dreaming of things that will never be with her.
Or whatever dehumanizing fuck you's they put on their memos to charge that much for digital distribution.
The point I was trying to make is that they price their wares at retail prices 100% of the time and don't feel the need to compete with anyone. I think the fact that you can purchase many of the same games a much steeper discounts on steam than you ever could on xbox stands for itself.mjc0961 said:Not surprising. I never bother even looking at the Xbox Live Indie Marketplace after finding nothing but junk games the first time I tried it. Microsoft should implement some form of quality control for the service, so that if you make some utter garbage like "your controller is now a vibrator", you don't get in.
Plus, I remember seeing the ad for these games right on the front of the Steam store page one day. That never happens on the 360, they're too busy cramming avatar items and that monotone drone from IGN down everyone's throats (seriously, get that IGN crap off my dashboard).

"a lot"? I think the quantity might be high, but the percentage very very low.DustArma[]You'd be surprised, a lot of PC gamers hate Steam because of the DRM.damse said:Doesnt Supprise me in the slightest since pretty much 90% of all pc gamers use steam if not 100%

Perhaps a vocal minority, but they do make themselves very much heard.Zechnophobe said:"a lot"? Yep on steam your indie game can be right up on the best sellers lists with the Triple AAA titles, you can't do that on xbox.Aris Khandr said:I agree. I have literally never looked at the Indie game section of XBL. No one I know has, either.Johnnyallstar said:Not really surprised. XBL doesn't push indie games nearly as much as Steam does. Steam is the place for indie games to go.
