Hurray for propaganda!

Ranch dressing is also the primary salad dressing of communism.
Artichokes support gay relationships.
Not to mention that General Mills gives drug money to the homeless.

Lol, that made me laugh, although I just want to point out that there is nothing wrong with being gay so your second comment doesn't hold any validity whatsoever. Just saying.

Lol when i read the title i thought this was going to be a thread about giving doughnuts to people who have abortions.
I was imagining doughnut induced termination...

Clearly mentioning the word 'choice' in any circumstances whatsoever is a statement of your view on abortion.

"Your meal comes with a choice of..."
"Murdering filth!!!"
"...?"

@ Trivun...and what exactly is wrong with giving money to the homeless?

It wasn't an attack against homosexuals, I support gay marriages. It was a quip about hardcore republicans and their hatred of difference. I'm also indifferent to communism and believe that many homeless people wish to buy food with the money you give them.

*checks ass* yeah... looks covered. ;)

I hate the "pro life" mentality. I can't fathom that they think that pro-choice people like abortions.
They're horrible, awful, and no one wants them. Someone serious about being pro-choice would know the major psychological effects abortions have on people.
They are horrible and cruel, and no one should have to make that decision.
Of course, life is horrible and cruel, and loves to present people with terrifying choices to make.

I know it's futile, but I REALLY hope the next four years don't hold more of this stupid, stupid babble.

You don't live in the same house with a grandmother who is an absolute fundamentalist...

Anyway, stuff like this is -crap-. The Church really needs to drop inane pursuits like this.

Mmm, doughnuts.

At times like these, I'm glad I don't live in America. No offense.

Or they don't live in the South. The first time I saw pride flags waving outside a house, I had this innate fear that they would be lynched.
I was then soothed deeply from the knowledge that there are actually safe places for gay people to have pride.

These doughnut paranoia thoughts are delightfully dumb, someone just wants to stir up some controversy it sounds like.

This is a brilliant piece of marketing, as no-one can resist a plate of delicious lard-encrusted doughnuts....

Try putting them in the microwave/oven for about a minute. It's really an incredible experience.

Woah, woah, woah. Why are you dragging "The Church" into this? Are non-religious people not allowed to be against abortion? This is a pro-life group, not a church. If you believe "The Church" is automatically associated with any and every conservative group, I would say that you are quite mistaken.

Yes, this [original post] is a very silly thing to fuss over.

Have you seen a non-Christian pro-life group?

The fundies are just annoyed that McCain didn't get in and are stirring up trouble for it. I don't think any amount of fundies could bring Krispy Kreme down though. No one can resist such sugary, glazed goodness! Krispy Kreme is doing what we call product promotion. Getting more people interested in their product by providing a free sample. Oh no, how terrible! FREE THINGS! AND PEOPLE HAVE THE CHOICE TO GET SUCH FREE THINGS! ABORTION! AAAAAAAAAAH! ABORTION DOUGHNUTS!

Heh. Thanks for making me laugh.

On the topic at hand, I think it's stupid and I'm pro-life.

On your post, yes, you CAN bring down krispy kremes.(SP) They went out of business some time ago here in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.

I am pretty sure when they said the donut of choice they were doing a play on the ability to vote since that is a choice. I really don't think Krispy Kreme is trying to make their donuts synonymous with sucking babies out with vacuum tubes. :p

Well, The American Life League, a walking advert for abortion.

Anyway, how they get from Doughnut of choice to Pro choice on abortion? There must be some mean lateral thinkers in that group...

Not really on topic, but I worked at Krispy Kreme for about six years. If you knew how much frying medium we went through in a day, your head would spin. And don't get me started on what goes into the white cream.

God people, stop being so goddamn sensitive about WORDS! Choice is not immediately synonymous to abortion. In my opinion the doughnut company shouldn't even have to apologise, they did nothing wrong and I'm sure they didn't mean to hand out 'abortion doughnuts'.

That this is even a press release is enough evidence for me that this world is trying way too hard to be politically correct. And that people have extremely large toes.
