I want them to go back in the timeline to when the Dwemer were still around. I don't really care which province(s), as long as they do that. The Dwemer ruins have consistently been the most interesting places to visit in TES games.
Bethesda already made a game set in Morrowind. Since Vvanderfell was destroyed when the Red Mountain erupted and the rest of Morrowind was invaded by the Argonians I don't think we'll be seeing another game set in that region. The world is huge anyways. I'd much rather have a game set in a different region rather than just revisiting old ones.Shirastro said:Yes, but consider that Morrowind actually only took place on one island, that, if you look at the map, is smaller than any other actual region.....and that "small" island was still pretty huge![]()

Black Marsh would be cool too.

OT: The next Elder Scrolls could be set in Hammerfell and continue the Aldmeri Dominion storyline started in Skyrim. It would be especially interesting seeing how choice factors in on the whole "Empire" business since in Skyrim you basically decide whether or not you want the Empire to survive or not.

That's what I meant. The generic fantasy setting is outdated and boring. Why can't they do another weird one like Morrowind?RangerDruid said:It can't all be like medieval Europe, at least, it wouldn't be very interesting if it was. This is an entire planet we are talking about - even though TES has its roots in traditional fantasy, a little variety is nice to have.plugav said:Anything that isn't not-medieval-Europe will be fine.

Also, why is it medieval for how many centuries? It's been 200 years(I think?) from end of oblivion already so wth? I understand magic and stuff, but c'mon! More advanced magic based machines? Just look at the observatory! WHy do we have to rely on dead nations for "shiny mysterious all-powerfull machines"?
No, actually. The implication is that almost the entirety of Morrowind was devastated by the eruption, not to mention being invaded by Black Marsh. A few Dunmer NPCs mention having to leave despite living on the mainland.Shirastro said:NOOOOOES!!!Lionsfan said:Wasn't Vvardenfell destroyed? Well at least we still have mainland Morrowind don't we?

I know that the development cycle won't come even close to the one Activision is forcing on the CoD franchise, but damn it's fun thinking ahead even if it's in five more years.canadamus_prime said:For fuck sakes, Skyrim hasn't even been out a week yet! Couldn't you have at least waited a couple of weeks before speculating on the next one???
.SirBryghtside said:Summerset. I've said from the start that if Skyrim was awesome (which it is to the power of ten), this would be my perfect Elder Scrolls 6. It's just like Morrowind with the alien aspect, the island, the natives... but in other ways the polar opposite. And since Morrowind is my favourite game of all time, this sounds bloody amazing to me.
Also, Sloads. Why the hell would you want more of the same?! I mean, sure, we all loved Morrowind, but... even with the Red Year passed, it would be barely different or completely boring. Forget Yorkshire Countryside copy/pasted, think grey wasteland copy/pasted.Istvan said:I want more Vvardenfell, preferrably with the option to revisit MorrowindOr, you know, Hammerfell? That part of the world that is, um, inhabited by pirates?Who Dares Wins said:I'm guessing that would be Elsweyr? Or at least its shores.
Lol, my thoughts exactly.TheIronRuler said:I know that the development cycle won't come even close to the one Activision is forcing on the CoD franchise, but damn it's fun thinking ahead even if it's in five more years.canadamus_prime said:For fuck sakes, Skyrim hasn't even been out a week yet!
