I'm English (although people say I have a slight French accent, probably from my mum) so I never understood why Americans sterotypically like English accents.

Personally I like Scottish accents. Probably cos of Amy MacDonald

I do kinda like the German and Polish accents, when they're being sweet... but no offence meant, they can get terrifying when angry with a German accent
I used to like the Leeds accent until the Leeds lady dumped me, so now I'm a little bit bitter about that (like how bleach is...)

The Scottish accent on guys drives me crazy in a good way. Girls I am not sure about, just anything other than a New York accent.

Right now, a "Would you like to catch some tea sometime?" from a woman's mouth would be like heaven... Being single after a long relationship sucks! >_>
Bummer... what happened? Thought it was going well for you...

(PM if you want...)

Semi-posh, refined English accents
... then may you forever love mine... (but seriously, that is pretty much a dead on description of my 'natural' accent).

To add to my last post... I do like a gentle southern (i.e. Louisiana) lilt. I used to find southern accents grating, but they've grown on me...

To anyone who said English, are you talking cockney's? Scouser's? or Geordie's?
Probably RP/'BBC English'.

I have a soft spot for Cornish, which makes every day Talk Like A Pirate day.
Yeah I know, it was more a rhetoric since I was asked exactly which of the American accents I liked... why the guys on Fox News naturally!. I feel dirty now.

OH fuck, I missed Talk Like a Pirate Day because I was ill, it's one of my favourite day's of the year.

Germman (Till Lindemann of Rammstein, anyone?)
Definitely. I have a crush on Till Lindemann's voice.
Any German girl who spoke to me with a similar voice would have me almost fainting (both out of love and fear :p).

Apart from the aforementioned German, I like the Canadian accent. I would die happy to be dating a German or German-speaking Canadian girl.

Irish is definitely one of my favorites, but the way North American aboriginals speak is absolutely beautiful.

I like American accents. And I agree with ssgt splatter-people (boys in particular...) sound really hot when they're masturbating and even if I don't like someones voice when they're speaking normally, I might like it in other situations.

I have discussed it with a few people now and I have come to the conclusion that everyone has at LEAST one accent they find irresistible. My girlfriend for example likes the Scottish, where as I like the Welsh accent (Hint to any Welsh girls :p) so which accents do you like? (I would add a poll but there are far too many options)
My girlfriends' faint Danish accent is pretty cute. Granted, it was gradually transformed into a more American accent in the time she was here, but now it's starting to come back a little.

She wants to get her more "British English" accent back(what she had before she came here), which is fine by me since those are hot as well.

I think southern drawls are hot. But I generally prefer the blandness of the Chicago-Midwestern.
