Are you kidding me? Wtf, that is so slimy and cheap. You really shouldn't have to pay a SUBSCRIPTION to get access to multiplayer features that should probably already be there in the first place.

No. A thousand times no. Not only because it's a terrible idea, but it would divide the online community between those who have it and those who don't care enough to get it.
Yes. This is going to end up VERY bad.

It might start as say, some (Ugh!) Custom Character models,

But very soon it would turn into Faster leveling, more weapons, new perks, etcetra.

Ive seen this happen in other online shooters and I honestly thought infinity ward was better than this. I like the live updates though.

Exactly. I really thought infinity ward was better than this. We shouldnt have to pay extra for features that should ship with the game in the first place.

Personally I would like it if when I turn on my 360,I get pop-up saying that updates are available for my games and it gave me a checklist of which games I want to download the update for..downloads them in the background and restarts the console..of course downloads would be paused if I were to join a game online.

Like what windows does normally..just port that system over to the 360..

I don't want to pay for it, that's my problem. If I wanted to pay for something that I waste my free time on I'd buy a Xbox or WoW. Also I understand people work to feed their children or whatever their bad decisions lead them to, but I already pony up cash to buy COD4 and it's DLC (also the blazing turdfest called COD:WAW and DLC)

Activision is going downhill...

I'm seriously considering to boycott them for all the shit that they've pulled in the last months.

I would pay extra money to play on a server where frags were nerfed and Martyrdom was unusable. You know, like how the game should be now.

So basicly they realized how popular WoW is and CoD is and now they are like hey! lets fucking rip off how our fans and alinate the casual players of CoD. Only really hardcore CoD fans will pay for that shit. 360 owners already pay a monthly subscribtion to Xbox live who wants to pay another to get most of the content for CoD: M2,this will allienate the poorer players, Activison as now become the new evil gaming company.

So what would this service offer over Steam that would get me to pay for it? Oh yeah didn't think so...

Wait a minute. Let me see if I got this right. I am paying 60 bucks a year for XBL but now they may want me to pay extra for a subscription fee or the super duper extra special edition to get access to all of the content? Then WTF am I paying the 60 bucks for? I have no problems paying for the service. I do have a problem for paying for the same service twice (well technically 3 times since I do pay for the internet itself).

MS,DEVS, would you kindly GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!!!

Don't do it Activision!!! Don't do what Microsoft did with Xbox Live (and Halo 2 on the PC, did anyone actually pay for the gold subscription? Other than people who already had Live accounts on their 360s.)!! Anyways, I though Modern Warfare 2 isn't a CoD game anymore... I don't want it placed in the same series as World at War (that Treyarch filth).

I would boycott that any day of the week.

I don't mind them charging an optional, one-time fee for a map pack (like what we saw with COD: W@W), as long as they didn't gimp the game by leaving out content in the first place. Charging a monthly fee, on top of what I already pay for XBL, is absolutely unreasonable for a game that is hosted on the players' machines.

At 7 million copies of CoD 4 sold, this is hardly surprising.

I imagine if they did an online survey of most of the people who bought their games, a small percentage could have said yes, and that would have been enough to move this forward and make it happen. People love CoD enough to pay for this, this is fact.

From a gamer standpoint, this is horrendous, and they are getting greedy.

From a business standpoint, genius. People ARE going to want these minor things, especially when they see people running around maps with 'cool looking gear' (which you could easily do yourself in CoD 4 PC). If this game actually sells more than Modern Warfare 2, they could be buying a small country in the future.

Activision....We already pay for addition features. It's call down loadable content(Xbox 360. Not sure about PC and PS3). Looks like Modern Warfare will not be my last game after all.

I hate this idea. It's brilliant, to be sure: but it's decidely Runescapian in design, and I can't stand that.
