For some reason that picture with the halo over his head creep me out.

At least he has not show up has a weeping angel yet, that would be just make Silent Hills look like a perfectly healthy family vacation spot.

Sooo... their games are shit because they lack talent to create anything. Not because Activision forces them to make shitty games. And it's them who is evil if Activision isn't.

Goood to know.

I'd say that Activision wouldn't have this evil reputation if they would just stop doing things that are interpreted as, well, evil. Or if one wishes to be generous, incredibly stupid.
...

I'm not even gonna try to explain to you what's wrong with that statement.

OT: I'm siding with the guys saying Acti's not really evil just really stupid at times. Seriously, let these guys run for Congress. They'll fit right in.

Did the developer make these comments before or after the Infinity Ward IT debacle?

Huh, that picture's probably gonna give me nightmares for awhile. Also, an Activision that isn't evil, is an Activision where I can fly my pig to work and ride my giant centipede home at night

I don't think it's hurt activision that someone finally realised that kotick should not under any circumstances be allowed within a 100 yards of a recording device.

To be fair though, we've never really claimed Activision was bad to its employees (IW debacle notwithstanding). It's always been about how they treat consumers.

Hating on Activision is stupid. I respect Activision. While EA goes around being a cartoon villain, Activision keeps making a shitton of money without making huge controversial moves and pretty much bullshitting the media to hate Gamers.
Bobby Kotick isn't an evil man. He's just a good businessman.
The only reason that Activision keeps making a "shitton of money" is because they keep releasing the same game every year, and people are stupid enough to buy it. Check out there current catalog. There isn't any other game/series even worth mentioning.

The best part is they know that the COD well is drying up. Now they are trying to repeat the process with the yet unnamed i.p. with Bungie.

Edit:
Let me also add that I don't hate any publisher. I just can't justify giving my hard earned money to someone for something that I already have.

On a side note I am not that big of a fan of EA either. Between the studios that they have laid to rest, and there horribly thought out Origin service, I don't find myself giving them much of my cash either.

The Troika were Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky and Jason Anderson. All of them work at different companies now and none are running their own company.

I know a few guys that work for Beenox (I live 10 minutes away from them), and while I can't say I know the inner workings of the company, they've told me the work environment is great. Sure, they sometimes get crunch time like everyone else in the industry, but overtime is paid and management friendly.

Though the guys I know are in QA, I don't know about the dev side.

I mean, sure, they might not have the most impressive game resume, but at least they're good employers, which puts them far above many, many other game companies.

Is Bobby Kotick "evil" in the traditional sense of the word? No.

Is he so hilariously inept at his job that he's garnered the hatred of millions of strangers? Yes. Which is why he needs to be managing a Quizno's franchise somewhere quiet where he can't fuck anything else up with his stupidity.

Yep, And they will keep on making loads of dosh. That's why I respect them, they know how to get the best with minimal effort, something that mankind is trying more and more to master.
I can understand your position.

I just loath the fact that companies just want to make money. To me money is just a tool. To them, it is a way of keeping score. I would rather they tried to further gaming, and make more interesting things for me to play than just try to reap as much cash as they can. It is possible for a company to make a good profit, treat there employes well, and make great products. It is just harder to do, and there profits margin isn't as high. Why put work into something you can be proud of when I can just do the bare minimum and make more?
