I hope no one calls and that they doesn't pick this up.
Because it would be too much awesome for this world?
Because it would suck hard and only manage to create a fanbase of new kids for the Mortal Kombat series but who would refuse to even acknowledge the old games as Mortal Kombat because they're too busy jerking off to this movie.
Why are you stuck up on the fanbase? Who cares Mortal Kombat has a CRAPPY storyline that could barely be fleshed out into one movie. I love the fact that they aren't wanking off just trying to create the "Mysterious mystical tournament" storyline.
Because they're ruining what I loved about Mortal Kombat which is the same thing that you apperently dislike ?_?
Really because what I loved about Mortal Kombat was the fighting.

Do it people.
What I sent in to the link,

As you may have already noticed, the Mortal Kombat pitch has been circulating around the internet, raising a whirlwind of debate and excitement. From these seven minutes I can easily tell you I would purchase a ticket to this movie, as well as many, many other people I know (You may hear from them as well.) I may even go so far as saying you are indeed a very lucky corporation to have been given such a product that could be released in your name.

What I would like to know is, have you considered this pitch to be made into a motion picture?

Well, Get Over There and tell them!.
I shall! *Hops in car* how far away is England from Hollywood?
Some distance I believe. I've never tried to go to Hollywood myself. I meant it metaphorically my good man ^_^.

If I just wanted generic fighting, I'd put in Tekken..
Really? Cause the only appreciable difference between the 2 I noticed was that mortal combat seems to like gore a lot more.

I thought it was that when I saw it. This is known to happen in industry, as a lifelong MK fan I will proudly support this version, it looked fantastic, though it won't mean the final film is great. If they keep Michael Jai White and Lateef Crowder in there it'd be a bonus (but I dislike the dredlocks, I assume Lateef wouldn't want to cut them xD).

I'd like to see Kabal in this version too.

Oh gee, who peed in your cereal, you sourpuss? I think it couldn't possibly be as bad as the movie(s) from the 90's..

I'd love a 3rd MK movie.
Just worried about the reboot. To many changes and it just becomes Mortal Kombat in name only, like any other reboot thats done.

NOOOOOOOOOOO OMG NO! AW man this is sad, i I actually though thought this was a movie. aw :( this ruined my day. :'(
They never said it was an impossibility, so it might still become a movie. Also, please try refraining from using acronyms and improve your grammar, it's one of mine and many other other people on this site's pet hate.

Actress Explains Mysterious Mortal Kombat Clip

Remember that awesome Mortal Kombat re-imagining from yesterday? It turns out that it wasn't a trailer for a new game or movie after all - but it could become one.

Yesterday, we got a glimpse at about 8 minutes of what appeared to be "reboot" of the beloved 1995 movie [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/101195-Mystery-Mortal-Kombat-Trailer-Will-Blow-You-Away]? In coming a week before E3, was this something to get us hyped up for the announcement of a new, brutal Mortal Kombat game?

According to actress Jeri Ryan - perhaps best known to nerds as spandex-clad Borg hottie Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager - who appeared in the clip as agent Sonya Blade, it's neither of those things. Speaking via her Twitter account [http://twitter.com/JeriLRyan], Ryan explained that it had essentially been a movie pitch - a short clip that a director friend of hers had put together to sell Warner Bros. on his vision for the franchise reboot.

Quoth Ryan, Tweets [http://twitter.com/JeriLRyan/status/15751686472]: "Okay, so... Mortal Kombat. It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film. More MK FAQs: I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB's reaction to it was. And I'm not sure how you can contact WB [...] to push them to make it. But you guys are resourceful...! ;-)"

A Tweet from Wu-Tang Clan's Kevin Tancharoen [http://twitter.com/rzawu].

You heard the lady, everybody. If you want to see this become a reality, pick up the phone and get Warner Bros. on the line right now.

Then I'll gladly call them up and scream, "STOP THIS SHIT RIGHT NOW! THIS IS NOT MORTAL KOMBAT!"

This is the Mario Bros. movie all over again. Damnit, isn't anyone seeing this!? They're taking a setting and characters that have already been established, and crapping all over them. The second I saw this, I was thinking "Thrill Kill", or "Manhunt", not "Mortal Kombat." What the hell is wrong with these people?

Don't do this, Warner Bros. Yes, you own Midway's franchise, but I will scream on every forum I know as well as in Gamestop until you cut this crap out and kill this thing. I love Mortal Kombat, and THIS is NOT Mortal Kombat.

This is a case of not knowing what you have and playing to the lowest common denominator.

Pretty much this, I found nothing sacrosanct about Mortal Kombat's laughable storyline. This actually makes it kinda badass. It's easy to have threats that are monsters, just make shit up. This movie actually justifies freaky human behavior.

Despite my love of monsters and whatnot, I am looking forward to a horrific and more indepth human element to this film. More people die that way instead of random creature X.
