In 'work' speak:
I'm a full time 'General Operative' at an Amazon 'Fulfillment Centre'. I specialise in 'penultimate item readiness' for customers and 'fulfilling pre-shipping requirements'.
In English:
I'm a full time labourer at an Amazon warehouse. I mainly pack items and sort packed items onto shipping pallets and yorks.
I think my official title is "coordinator". I work for a non-destructive testing company.
We test stuff to make sure stuff like oil pipes, rollercoasters, and tanks don't fall apart or explode when put to their intended use. I'm in charge of working out how much to charge clients for our services.
Hate my job. Looking to quit and go back to school pretty much ASAP.
I'm 25. I don't necessarily think of myself as an adult or anything else in "age terms" but I guess I am.
23 but I don't really consider myself an adult. I work though, at a Target mostly in the early morning stocking stuff on shelves. I'm actively looking for another job though so as to keep up with my expenses. Once I get a second job I'm thinking of going to school again...or maybe a tech school...I have no idea what I would want to do professionally and really don't consider myself an adult.
I'm finishing my BS in Communication Disorders and going to grad school for speech therapy after that. I've mostly applied to masters programs but I'm thinking about a PhD eventually, since I did research in undergrad and enjoyed it.
