I've just been out for a run round my block, only 1/3 of a mile and i managed it in around 3 and a half minutes, I'm happy with the time but it's knackered me, i got really light headed and my breathing felt a bit funny..
I'm hoping to enter the Royal Navy once I finish uni, but I need to have passed the basic fitness far earlier which mean being able to run a mile and a half in 12 minutes or less.
Basically what I'm getting at is I need some advice on getting in to shape from any of you, especially those of you with past military service or any other physically demanding careers.
