African Compensation

So I was reading all about the Representatives of ten African countries including south Africa, Kenya and Algeria are demanding compensation for damage caused by global warming, How do you feel about this? and do you think they should receive Compensation?

I'd like to note that Africa produces the least emmisions (and regardless of wether it is man made or not global warming will effect Africa Heavily)

i wonder where they plan to get the money from, the UN?, or do they want some of that Internet money?

and secondly as the thought does occur while writing

It seems like everyone is going on about Doomsday as of late, Global warming, Famine, Disease. do you believe all of it? and what do you think can solve these problems?

They can demand all they want. While they're doing that, they should be doing is leading the way in the Green revolution. Set up research houses and invest in recycling and atmospheric cleansing technologies. Make them the backbone of their future economies. That way, when the rest of the world has to finally admit that they were wrong for saying that their tar burning wondermobiles weren't causing climate change, they'll turn to these nations for the technologies that have already been developed, thus setting the conglomerate up as a future economic superpower.

Just imagine how many squillions the first company to develop an economical means of refining raw materials from garbage will make. Hell, if they keep it under the table, they can secretly acquire the world's waste disposal companies, then when they have a monopoly, switch tact and have them extracting and marketing valuable resources from human waste before any other company can jump on the bandwagon. And, of course, so they have a few more years of waste removal contracts from local governments, before the world realises that garbage is now a resource to be profited from.

Our best computer models can not accuratly predict the weather-- i repeat, the weather-- more than a week in advance with any credibility... so you set models to predict temperatures decades in advance and-- big suprise-- the models collapse with huge temperature changes.

I rank belief in global warming right up there with belief in God. The global warming people cling to that belief with the same idiotic tenacity that jesus nuts cling to theirs.

Besides... warming is good... cooling is bad. Modest warming of the earth would open the vastness of canada and siberia up to farming on scales that have only been dreamed of. Cooling will make the thames freeze solid once again and restrict agriculture to the equator. No thanks.

Fuck reparations; they wouldn't have a population as large as they have without food aid from western, developed countries. Maybe we made a mistake there too.

I agree with this. Global warming is indeed a natural cycle. However, science has yet to determine the extent of man's contribution (if any). We can't even be sure that adding or subtracting carbon dioxide form the atmosphere is good or bad. Science has a lot of theories, but little to no proof.
