If global warming was our fault, if global warming was going to have a bad effect on them and only them and if African nations weren't so corrupt and didn't spend so much money on war when their people are straving, then maybe we would consider it.

This whole climate change thing (if it's real) is also contributed in large part to overpopulation. Africa has the fastest growing population in the world so they should compensate the rest of us. No, they don't use a whole lot of resources but then again, not every American/European drives a gas guzzler either.

Africa has low amounts of emission because it lacks the infrastructure to support industry. If anyone should pay for emission damages, it should be China or India, whose emissions border on ridiculousness. They should watch out- South Africa and Algeria are known to hold a huge sway in the UN. /sarcasm

Also, demanding money for being on the wrong continent during a naturally occurring climate shift is idiotic. That's like suing the ocean because your house on the coast got taken out by a hurricane.

So they want compensation for global warming? Well I say we let them sue the sun, we'll see how much money they get. Yes, the planet does get hotter and colder all on it's own, believe it or not. Remember ice ages, and global cooling scares from the 1970's, and that the mean temperature during the Jurassic age was 3 degrees C higher than it is today. Correlation does not equal causation. Interesting how in all the graphs about global warming which compare temperature with CO2 levels, the temperature always raises before the CO2. The Earth changes, the sun changes, and the trees you planted in your backyard to help combat global warming? They're killing you.
