I usually say 'You don't want to know' with a sense of exaggeration, but there be no trace of truth-bending when I say that you do not want to see The Scary Thread.

"Squidward's Suicide" is by far the most traumatizing thing I've ever encountered in any medium, bar none, no exceptions. It makes Silent Hill cry in terror.

The stairs to the basement were broken a while back. The Escapist built the R&P forum halfway down. That was a mistake, as the trolls we toss down there keep trying to burrow out, and always appear first in the R&P section.

Also, "The Scary Thread" is down there. The trolls are afraid of it, and thus hide on the other side of the basement. This is why you don't hear them chittering, and it's also why they are trying to escape.
