I've been lurking since Sept '08 and have just recently been posting. Post count just means you're talkative.

Post count means nothing; it's the amount of time you've spent here and on the forums. It's better to be here for a long time than have a large post count.
Why is that? If you mean what I think you mean and that is that it's more better to have been active here for a while rather than make 2000 posts in your first week or so here.

I joined Gametrailers in 2006. I learnt a bit about forums there, made about 100 posts. I don't go there anymore, it's too toxic with fanboy propaganda. I love the more mature atmosphere that we seem to have here.
I mean that, if you've been here for a longer amount of time chances are you know more about how the forums work and how to post or act. Tallying up 2000+ posts within your first week doesn't show experience here; just that you can post a lot. Quality over quantity and all.

Well, yeah. I do have almost 4,000 posts (oh god, this makes me so nostalgic of the old times when getting Gonzo was a big deal), but my posts-per-day counter is pretty low, I assume.

And yeah, the longevity of an account, and the amount of post counts do not match up. Ever.

It's not like every member of the forum is being hold at point-blank, with a gun to our heads, with some black dude yelling "Posts, ************. Will you do one every 2 minutes?!"
