It's not the game that's the problem, it's the people. No offence to all you Dungeons and Dragons players, but lots of the D&D players are basement dwellers with not that many friends aside from their fellow D&D players.

This loneliness and not being accepted by the rest of the world for doing what they enjoy is most likely what caused this. But sadly, media always tries to find a way to blame gaming, or just make sure of that the shooter isn't blamed for it.
First, Your stereotyping . stop it. it was more likely she was pissed she was denied tenure and went postal, and most of us aren't basement dwelling trolls who snarl at the sun and run from girls.

Secondly, Well done Andy, Well done. Any death is a tragic one, but people want to believe there always has to be a reason, something that made them into the sick murdering fuck's that they are. sadly, in this case the reason is a boardgame in which I get to shoot missiles of the magic variety. truly sad.

Ahh. Baseless assumptions; the heart of most arguments on the Internet.

You know, why can't like the CEO of a major corporation come out and say that they play DnD. Or like political rights activist. It's ALWAYS killers and criminals. The normal folks need to step up and represent.

I'm making a new thread.
Vin Diesel played D&D and he turned out fairly all right, don't know about any other big-name figures off the top of my head though.
Stephen Colbert, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Matt Groening, Judy Dench, Mike Meyers, Robin Williams, those stupid porn stars on "Hit it with my Axe", Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and many others.
