The only thing that's going to kill WoW is WoW itself. It needs to be part of a big scandal or something.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that's what he meant, considering that's what everyone else here was talking about.Pyronox said:Oh it's been surpassed many times: the question is weather or not it will be beaten in popularity.Tarmon said:I doubt WoW will ever be surpassed by another MMO it's simply the uncrownd king of the genre.
I have Guild wars, don't play it that much though. My brother plays it mostly. It's quite good, and it doesn't have any fees to pay, so a big plus there.MaxTheReaper said:Nothing, but they play video games like madmen.iain62a said:What's wrong with people from Korea?
Always wanted to play Guild Wars, never had the chance.
Oh god...Syphonz said:I think WoW should curled under the might heel of Runescape XD.
Then good news for you! They're going to add a z-axis, which they said will allow swimming and *drumroll please* jumping!Faeanor said:If there still isn't a jump, I'm not going to touch it. That's the only thing keeping me from falling asleep at times is the ability to spam the space bar and watch my character flail about.
But if you're making an MMO, you don't even need to advertise to competing with WoW. The auto-hype by soon to be disappointed consumers do that to the product. Look at Killzone 1, Guerilla NEVER claimed it was going to be the 'Halo Killer', the hype did.Zac_Dai said:I don't see the point in competing with WoW.
You'll only fail if you do (Warhammer Online), instead I think its prudent to offer something WoW doesn't and be content with a smaller subscriber base (EVE-Online.).
Not only that but you will be able to slide, and they are planning to make some skills work differently based on how you are moving!Damien the Pigeon said:Then good news for you! Pretty much that, I've got all the expansions (but have never gotten past half way on any of them :S) but I did really like them.rowan-thats-me said:I played GW for like a year and a half( through all the expansions) It was great, deafanitly the best MMORGP I ever played, I may pick it up again when the new one comes out, but my comp is shit, so it may not happen, we'll see
